Whenever I have an avocado I approximately use about a half this handy gadget is extremely easy to open and is easy to clean. It's made of a good quality plastic and a film type silicone it looks smart and the size of It will hold extremely large avocado. it dose the job it needs to do.

Great idea and works well but the stretchy top is quite delicate. I’m on my third one in as many years.

This works well for keeping lemons fresh and secure. Chop your lemon and pop the remainder into the holder. The plastic is strong and durable. It seems you can really stretch it over the lemon. Fits one lemon in there. Nice bright colour - yellow for lemon!

Ok item. Better than nothing, but doesn't keep the onion smell out of the fridge. Definitely can't handle a shallot. Washes well in dishwasher.

I purchased this Joie kitchen gadgets avocado preserver in July 2021, as was disheartened with how much avocado was going into the food waste, as several carers weren't properly wrapping the remaining cut fruit. I came across this gadget in the lightning sale area, was £2.99 at the time - since ordering this avocado preserver last July, it's more than paid for itself with the amount of saved fruit! I usually eat minimum of 1/4 avocado a day, this preserver keeps the rest fresh for the next few days, until it's finished. Then it's easily washed with soft sponge and dish washing liquid, ready for a new avocado the following day. I usually eat avocado daily, along with other fruits, berries, nuts and seeds. In the winter it's teamed with porridge, in the warmer months it's teamed with probiotic yogurt. I have Elhers Danlos Syndrome & Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, my specialists have instructed that I need extra omega 3 fatty acids in my diet (as well as higher salt intake to raise my dangerously low blood pressure), I've had a high protein & omega 3 fatty acids diet for several years now, it definitely helps!

It’s a bit fiddly to use but does a fair job. Some discolouration.
