Life Changing
Jordan Rubin spoke at my college ORU, and gave every one of us students a free copy of his Maker's Diet Book 15 years ago during a chapel service. After reading the book, The Makers's Diet changed my life, as I applied the biblical principles to my diet. Fast forward, I steered away and began adopting a plant based diet a few year ago until recently realizing perhaps the negative effects of eating too much Phytic acid as it was effecting my children's teeth. Reading about Dr. Weston Price, I circled back around to the updated version of the Maker's Diet, The Maker's Diet Revolution, and it really shifted our outlook on eating healthy again. My husband and I completed the 10 Daniel Fast/Cleanse. He lost 10 lbs and I lost 7. The Maker's Revolution Book is worth getting and is totally a leveling up from the original Maker's Diet. So much Jordan has learned over the years and shares new things. I am enjoying our new diet, and new focus. It's changed our food budget for the better, lol. Your health is worth every penny of the investment. I recommend this book to all my friends and family. Do yourself a favor, read it but apply it and be disciplined to keep it as a lifestyle. You won't be the same :)

Really good information, but...
Dr Rubin's story is definitely inspiring and his recovery is remarkable and astounding, but he follows all this good information with "links" to his home page where he sells products supposedly that no one else can provide at very high prices. In essence his book becomes a sales lead in document. The trouble I have with the publication of these "miracle" discoveries is that they are so expensive that if you can't afford them, you are just out of luck! The seller doesn't seem to care that people are suffering when they could be healed by simpler, less expensive means. The nutritional advise Dr Rubin give is spot on and well written. Abstaining from processed foods, sugar, processed flour, refined salt, pesticide and fungicidal treated fruit and vegetables and pasteurized, homogenized, fat stripped, nutritionally dead, store bought milk will make you much healthier. Buy organic whenever you can. Prepare your food at home, from scratch, whenever you can. Make your own milk kefir from raw milk and learn how to make lacto-fermented foods. These foods are full of macrobiotics and are vital to digestive health. If you follow this regimen and add Bacillus Subtilis (the Homeostatic Soil Organisms ingredient) you will have the benefits of being super healthy in nutrition. Then when you are able to get out of your bed or wheel chair, you can begin to exercise and breath deeply of fresh air instead of oxygen from a bottle. You will find that as you get better, you will not need the medications that were treating your symptoms while you continued to suffer and deteriorate. Then finally, do not forget to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy in providing salvation from sin against God! God loves you and wants you to live life to the fullest. This book has changed my life!
I had digestive and other problems for years and was only getting worse. At 41 I was missing 3 or days of work a month. I started reading this book and changed my eating habits and my acid reflux and irritable bowel are almost non-existent. I haven't been sick for over 10 months and I'm loving it! My energy is up and so is my attitude. I just gave up pork and other scavenger meats and processed foods with hormones, additives, and preservatives. This was tough since we loved our pork roasts and catfish! My husband has even seen a significant change in himself.I didn't get into all of the supplements except for the Super Greens, Super Seed and Soil-Based Microorganism capsules. I don't even take these daily. My advice is to use what works for you and not go whole hog on everything. I started slowly and used the foods I had and when I bought new I looked into the more wholesome foods, being careful to check labels. If you're having any digestive issues I highly recommend you give this a read. I have bought 4 other copies as gifts for relatives and friends.

A Favorite!
I'm giving this book five stars because it is a captivating read and explains difficult health concepts in an easy-to-understand language. It is my go-to health book now and I have recommended it to several of my family and friends who have also benefited eating healthier while following the guidelines in this book. While I cannot afford to eat exactly how this author suggests, I have benefited using these guidelines to help me and my family to eat as best I can on my budget. I greatly appreciate how the author incorporates God's Word into his plan.I would highly recommend this book as a great guide to not only eating healthier, but also in aiding you to think for yourself how you should eat. There are many fads and diet plans for weight loss, but here is a plan to change your lifestyle of eating and to know what it is you are eating. Instead of thoughtlessly following fads, it gives you solid principles for knowing the reasons behind why you should make informed eating choices. I highly recommend!

Very Helpful
I've been dealing with chronic inflammation and dysibiosis, which is an over growth of bacteria in the gut. Both of the illnesses had lead to several different food intolerance, stomach issues, joint issues, swelling over my entire body, dizziness, and severe headaches. The book taught me how to take care of mind body and spirit. In this day in age we are told to push our selfs more daily, push ourselves more physically and while doing that cut out all fats, red meats, and stick to "healthy" per packaged food to save on time. I learned how to eat properly, the way God intended. It taught me how to manage my stress and relax. It's not about starving yourself from foods, it's about giving your body food that it actuall desires. It's a simple three step plan broken up over the 40 days. I've followed the first phase for about three weeks because I was so blown away by the difference! I highly recommend this, after man doctor visits and many testings I was finally able to find a cure in this book.

Depressing!
I found this an interesting read but a very depressing one! Jordan Rubin writes as if it is easy to follow this diet, but most of the recommendations for food are not things that I could buy easily in a rural part of the United Kingdom, and it all seems very complicated to follow for someone with Chronic Fatigue. The trouble is, one is left feeling almost destined to remain ill if one doesn't follow the diet, even with a reasonably healthy diet!

Informed and sound information
Very interesting read and excellent explanation/information on the โforbiddenโ foods of the Hebrews. Makes good sense.

Diet friendly lifestyle change
Read this book straight away and have started using the plan to change my diet and lifestyle and so far having done 4 days I can feel and see the difference already.

Long winded and hard to digest (in my opinion)
This book was recommended (as I have IBS) however I found it a bit long winded and hard to digest, so gave up reading before I found any benefit. It's very much (as the title suggests) in to God, and is a bit like reading a religeous take on diet. If that's for you, then it's a great read, but I found it a little too much personally.

Recommend for general knowledge on natural healing
Given to somebody who has Crohn's, but read half of it beforehand - a true story of a natural healing from a deadly condition. Really worth a read if suffering from Crohn's or other auto immune conditions. Recommend for general knowledge on natural healing.
