I find the heel quite low and very low when I fitted Gel insoles but a low heel suits me fine rather than flip-flop style, even allowing for my tendency to crumple the heels, just a thought or consideration if you felt you need the security of a full/strong heel covering. No problem wandering about in the garden with them, unsuitable for a quick visit to the local Supermarket because silly logo on the front, nowhere near the loucheness of my usual moccasins! Beyond that you'd hardly know they were on your feet which must be the ultimate compliment. Typical Scot, thought they were a tad expensive. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stylish! Super comfy & incredibly well made! Can envisage will last much longer than most Slippers!! *by N***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 October 2019* These excellent slippers were purchased for a present for my Husband, mainly for wearing indoors.What's immediately to note, is how hubby thinks with these slippers being so incredibly well made as they are - that they'll easily break his record for his longest lasting pair of slippers he's had!He's house bound, slippers are his equivalent to our everyday shoes, which last from a pitiful 6 to a decent 10 months on average, yes, quality does and can play a big part, so fingers crossed they do break said record.On first wear, his comment was how so very comfortable they are, although, he became aware of the short backs, but after no time, he was more than used to this.He simply loves them from the off, so much so, that he's proud to show them off at every chance he can, and when anyone comes to ours, even the Postman!! Matter of fact, we recommend so highly, that in time we'll replace all ours slippers to these ;-D08/12/19 Update: After wearing since receiving on 28rh Oct - Slippers, obviously looking a tad used, have kept their shape so incredibly well. They're still as lovely and comfortable as when 1st worn, coupled with always being nice and warm, yet, never enough to cause nasty niffynesses, if there's such a word! This must be a 1st, again, these are hubby's everyday shoes, so, 8 - 18 hours a day, and their smell is not offensive at all, and practically non existing!Best part was hubby's initial thought that these will last longer than any other pairs he's had to date, and yes, as stated, their shape is just as good as when received, they do look used, yes, but I'd say only around a month mark, and their soles are holding up so well, showing minimal wear, this down to how always used indoor.We recognise it's still early days, but these do seem to be heading to break his longest owned slippers record, and to repeat, we'll without a doubt def buy again, simply amazing slippers.The only one negative, they are a little slippy on likes of wet laminate flooring, but hubby's point of view is that this not a biggie.
