The photo isn't accurate though--makes it look brassy when in real life, it is darker, as it is described. This is extremely high quality, heavy and sturdy and beautiful. The bowl is thick glass and is tinted in such a way as to make the light glow. Can't even get over the difference between this and the junk lamps I have bought and returned in the past for only $25 less. This is worth every penny. Best part is the way it was packaged: everything lifts out of the packaging in order of construction so there is no thrashing around wrestling with the wired parts and the base. Delightfully easy to put together.
