Doesn’t work like it should.
So when I fill my water bottle up and insert upside down into the orange part. The heaviness brings the cone down into my composite, dirt, etc. so then the water won’t come out if that little spout bc the spout is in the dirt. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. I’ve tried different water bottles, same result. So I’ve been taking off the black spout completely and just fill all of them everyday. Bc they will run out so fast. I wish they’d come back with the basic orange ones with the holes throughout the cone.

Made of plastic but they do their job well
These were a great price, there were more in the pack than I realized which was great!! They don't require a water hose or hose connection and you can adjust how much water they get. I would buy these again. Just be aware that they're all bright colors like orange and green and stuff, it's not a big deal because that's the part that attaches to the bottle and pushes in the ground so you don't see too much of it.

These work great with Guinness Beer Bottles!
I bought these to take care of my larger container plants on my balcony when I am away for a few days. I also have some watering globes, but they are not big enough for more than a day (IMHO). If you use a wine bottle, it'll tip over because it's really too heavy for how shallow the spikes are. If you use a Guinness Beer bottle, it will fit snugly and it will stay upright. One suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make the spout extend further away from where the spike goes into the dirt -- the drip, drip of the water tends to undermine the foundation, as it were. The solution that worked for me was to put a stone under the drip spout, which disperses the water all around versus just straight down.I'll likely buy another set of these when my husband finishes more beer!

Doesn't work as stated
This item doesn't hold a bottle of water steadily. It will release the whole bottle all at once if the bottle shifts. It would probably work better if it was designed like a screw top for sturdiness. Will be returning them.

Not the best option... not even for the money
They aren't sturdy! At the end of the day, the drip of water loosens the soil and makes the bottle turn over. Only really works with smaller plastic bottles and then they STILL have to be nestled in other plants. Just not worth it.

Not all bottles will fit
Good product idea, but many regular bottles don't stay on top and tend to topple over. Have been using them with slight modifications and use of duct tape
