For many years I used a tool almost identical to this to break up soil around a weed's roots before uprooting it. But somehow in the last couple of weeks I lost that tool, and could not find a suitable replacement.But a more extensive Amazon search finally revealed this one, and I bought it immediately. It is great, and does exactly what I need. I'm taking better care of this one!

Works great at digging up those weed roots and makes it easy to remove weeds. I love how it will also work in tight spaces. I ordered another to keep in the garden so I don't have to run back inside for the best weeder I've found. Clever and sturdy design.

Different types of weeds and different places here weed grow require different tools. Well maybe, and only if you want. If you only could have one tool for weeding though, you might pick this one. It is strong enough to really pull at the deep roots. It is narrow enough to fit into those cracks where the weeds might be. It's hooked so that you can go under or around a root or a rock or whatever you might be digging. The wooden handle feels good in a bare hand or a gloved hand. Rest assured that if you grab this weeding tool when you head out for your backyard (or front yard) weeding, bring a bucket. You will fill the bucket and keep coming back for more.

yep the handle needs to be fatter, maybe a little longer & mine doesn't have as long of a point and it's attached differently than pictured, ! have a drive way with concrete block that has 2"x 2" squares that are supposed to have grass in them , but the weeds got a head start, this would have been perfect, except it wasn't

Love this tool but the handle is very short so you can’t reach very far but it works great! A 24 inch handle would be wonderful! The wood handle is nice and smooth.

It's rugged and rips weeds out of the earth without much effort. Very satisfying. My favourite tool.

Tool concept is excellent. It’s construction is seriously lacking. I used it for matter of two hours, in lightly compacted garden soil, and the blade came out of the handle. It is of no use grouting weeds from between walkway blocks.

At first it was exactly what I was expecting. A nice little garden tool to remove weeds and dirt between my concrete pavers. I started using it 3 days ago and it is already in 2 pieces. The hook is strong and does a good job (see photos). The handle is comfortable in your hand, but overall it is poorly built. The piece of hook metal that goes inside the handle is too short and has no grip. It just came off. Will contact the seller and see if they offer a good customer service. Will update in case it fixes the problem. Thank you!
