I have acquired quite the collection of face shields during this pandemic, as I am someone who cannot wear fabric masks for physical reasons.This hat-shield combo is definitely one of my go-to shields.Advantages:- The hat is comfortable and of pretty good quality- The shield is not connected to the hat, so it can be raised or removed when not needed, and then lowered or replaced when needed- The shield is shorter than the others that I have that are on hats, which is good on hotter days, or when more maneuverability is needed- Both hat and shield are easy to clean- The shield is thick so this is a good choice for breezy days- The hat is casual, cute, and fun to wear - I could see using the hat, minus the plastic, when this is all over.Disadvantages:- The shield is thick and covers the ears, which can make it difficult to hear people, especially when they are talking through masks- Even after pouring on the hot water, the shield is not crystal clear. It is not bad, but this is not a shield that I ever use when I am going to need to read. It is best for just walking through a store or garden center, or for church. For work, I need to use something that offers better vision through the plasticAll in all, I am happy with this purchase. I got two of these and would definitely purchase again if either wears out before we get back to normal living.

Much nicer than I thought it would be for the price. Wish I had the option for another color. The pink looks like pink on line, but it turns out to be more mauve. I don’t really care but thought I would pass the info on. Will also work great to keep the bugs off my face when I mow the lawn.......Yeah!!!Noticed that when you try to talk with this on it amplifies your voice to where it hurts your ears. So talking while wearing could be painful FYI

1. The hat was tosmall fir my head. They should offer dufferent suzes of hats.2. The visor was stiff and hard to put on to a hat. Maybe Velcro would help hold its position better on a hat. As it is I am going to atempt to use it on another hat but i need to buy some velcro.

It had a strong odor and wrinkles when we first opened it, but the wrinkles smoothed out and washing it and putting a bit of essential oil on the hem made it nonexistent. It is not long enough for an adult, but works great for my toddler. She hates wearing most masks but this one isn’t as tough to keep on her. Works great for what we intended but I wouldn’t recommend it for an adult.

This purchase was made for my day to day errands during this coronavirus pandemic. I like the idea of wearing a face shield as an added protection along with my face mask. However, I’m disappointed at how the plastic/vinyl shield won’t smooth out despite running it in under cold then hot water as instructed. It’s so wrinkled my vision is distorted. I’ll try other ways to smooth it out.

Great hat! But we could never get the shield to flatten out. Too wrinkled. We tried all suggestions from the manufacturer. It got better but never could get it so that viewing through it didn’t distort things. The plastic is too subtle.

I thought that these things were going to attach to each other, but they don't.The hat is the sort that would blow off easilyThe face shield is made of a plastic that is strong and flexible, but wrinkly. It's hard to see because the wrinkles cause optical distortion.The shield ties around the top of the head. I don't see how that is going to stay in place very well at all.Basically, I haven't worn it outside at all, because I can't see through the plastic and the things aren't secure on my head and would blow off easily.

The shield is removable and can be used alone since it ties in the back or over another narrow brimmed hat. The i received is more of a fisherman's style hat so definitely not as fashionable as what is pictured.
