Understanding Your Angels

I love John. Truly I do. And Tape 1 was good. But there is NO WAY you will meet your guides using Tape 2.John lulls you into a meditative trance - very similar to hypnosis, if not the same - then "betrays" you when you get there. It's as though he was under the wire, racing to get the tape completed before his time in the studio was up. So you're laying there in your trance, more than happy to cooperate, and there's no possible way you can formulate the images he asks you to because he doesn't give you a chance before he races on to something else. And the thing about being in a hypnotic trance is that you are overly sensitive to things like that. So you can't simply ignore them and move on. You get "stuck" on the fact that you've left an image behind that he asked you to "see".Another thing that bothered me was that he asks you to breathe deeply counting to six, then doesn't keep track of rhythm of the count himself. So if you count to six in the rhythm he first demonstrates, you totally lose him after the third breath. That's another example of something that gets you "stuck". You're breathing in when he's telling you to breath out.So I would recommend these tapes with reservations. They're very good for relaxation, but you may find that's all you get out of them.

Wow. Simply said, I love John Edward's books, tapes and Understanding Your Angels and Meeting Your Guides is one of my favorites, well so far. I have always wanted to connect with those who have crossed and with my guides who help me but never quite knew how to go about it. Meditiation has always been a wonderful way to relax but until recently I was unaware how to use my meditation to find answers or guidance. John's tape has taught me how to guide myself through visualization to not only meet my guides but it has also given me the tools to meet with those loved ones who have crossed. John's voice is calming and relaxing. At first, I would listen to his tapes day after day to meditate, now I am able to guide myself through the visualizations to remain in the meditation as long as needed. As John explains on the tapes, meeting your guides does not automatically happen and I am here to say that he is not lying you us, patience is key. Enjoy.

I really have enjoyed John Edward's meditations, especially the one "meeting my spiritual guides". What bothers me is he just talks way too fast and doesn't give you a chance to linger in the meditation. One meets their guide and John Edward instructs to ask several rapid questions such as their name, what I am to learn during this meditation and before he takes a breath and gives a chance to hear the answers we are asked to say good bye. I would of liked it better if he guides us to ask prepared questions on the instructional side of the tape and gives a chance to hear the answer to our question while he stays quiet for a minute. I do like that John Edward speaks in easy to visualize terms.

I don't like audio books, I like REAL books and when I ordered this I guess I overlooked the audio part. So I returned it---I don't want to be tied down to listening to someone else read to me on a device---I can read perfectly well for myself and I like to go back and review stuff occasionally too. I'd like to see this be available in a book form, either hard copy or Kindle because I just am not an audio book fan---I find it a bit insulting that if (like lots of us) you're not a 'techie' with all the gadgets and stuff there seems to be less and less accommodation for us to access information. We're not dead yet--we just prefer a different experience than techno-stuff.

I have long had ability to connect with other side. Don't quite know how to control it. So, figured it is time to learn. My very 1st experience with CD side A.. Stunning, it showed me things in a different light and led me to answers to questions I have had for years. Led me to the person who knew. Gave me the words to say to get the truth out (that they had been hiding) for 25 years I think. WOW.... I still have my training wheels on. But, my 1st experience was AWESOME! Answers to questions that nagged me for years (knowing inside the truth).... finally it's out...

I absolutly loved this book. The meditations (at least for me), were extremely intense. The first day I cried during meditation and the second day I felt drained and very relaxed. He speaks in a very soothing and genuine way that is very easy to understand and embrace. I will be listening again!!

Although I liked this product very much the CD of the meditation wasn't very good. The timing thing was not good at all which made it quite annoying.That being said ... the principle is easy to follow and is worthwhile for meditation purposes.I would reccommend this product for sure.

I thought this was good. I have been studying this for a while so there wasn't a lot of new information for me. This is good for starting to understand Angels and Guides. For those who are more advanced, I would recommend Sonia Choquette's, "Trust Your Vibes" and "Ask Your Guides" She does a very good job of explaining.

If you've seen John Edward on tv then you will know this but if you haven't he talks...fast! Whats important is that he doesn't gabble, and is very informative and entertaining on these dvds of remeniscences and guided meditations.Take the time to tune into the speed of his conversation and then listen again for the content if you need to. Its well worth it!

i found this cd was clear and easy to follow, but you have to be propared to concentrate as John can talk a little fastalready it ha sgiven me confidence to progress.yes i would recomend this CD.

I would vote John Edwards my most likely earth angel. He tells it like it is and puts it all in words everybody can understand, and there is definitely no ego in him - which unfortunately shows the men from the boys in this profession. This CD is just the thing for anyone just starting off on their own spiritual journey, showing the way without any confusion. It makes you feel great. I would give John ten stars for this one.
