Great read
Really enjoyed this book. Lots of good stuff, with some cool quotes, and interesting views of life and or existence

God is with the pagans who seek Him.
Epictetus found God but didn't have the knowledge of God but realized God rules the world even though there is great evil to lead us away from Him who gives great blessings.

Esse quam videri
Unlike The Bible, The Qu'ran... or any other book that claims to connect you to a god...This one will actually make you a better person and fix the World.

Very insightful.
You can learn a lot from this book. I think it is worthwhile to read through the manual portion of the book to understand the key stoic teachings.

So you were wondering to do with philosophy?
Live! One of the greatest (unheralded) Greek philosophers, a former slave to Nero's concierge, cruelly rendered lame by his master, he epitomizes the Serenity prayer. Focus only on what you can change and control, your own opinions, and endure or enjoy the rest.

Excellent!
The author has assembled a great collection Epictetus' works. It is nice to have it all in one place. The author's notes in the text make the purchase of this compilation worth the price.

Misprints on no??
This morning I finished the Complete Works of Epictetus and I noticed that in the index the page numbers and the section titles are off by a few pages. I turn to page 375 for the start of the Enchiridion only to find it actually starts on 377. Did the publishers do this as an exercise for the reader? It initially bothered me for some reason, but the more I read, the more I came to terms with and accepted this…mistake? Was this misprint in my control? No, I didn’t print it. Being that it is out of my control, I must look to what I can control; the way I observe the situation and after taking a bird’s eye view of the alleged mishap, I realized, it doesn’t even matter if the titles and page numbers line up, I found each section easy enough, I was, essentially, able to read the entire text without any issue and the misprints didn’t have any influence on my greater understandings. Or, it was and editor’s mistake, but, whatever. The book itself isn’t the apex of publishing arts but the point conveys just the same and it’s good enough, which, at times, is good enough.

Quality book. Print is nice size. It’s as advertised and I am very happy with it.
Quality book. Print is nice size. It’s as advertised and I am very happy with it. Also it did not take that long to deliver. Seems well build as far as paperbacks go. It’s thick so fact front and back covers are pre creased properly is important to me. Did I mention the print size is practical? Nothing worse than ordering a book with print so fine you need a magnifying glass to read. This book’s print is text book size and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that in a book I’m going to study as much as read for pleasure. This is everything Epictetus and Elizabeth Carter translation is the standard for English. So no surprises just what I hoped for and quite frankly expected. Nice to get what one was expecting.

not an official published book
Terrible print job. Published by someone who assembled the text from an online source. Very large print and terrible table of contents. Avoid. I returned for a refund.
