These Snuggle Pets can be life savers for traumatized pets leaving the shelter and entering new homes, or for puppies leaving their momm and their litter mates, yes, they don't work for every single puppy, dog, whatever. i would say the upside of having one on your person and readily available in case the puppy needs it is so much better than not having one on hand and possibly having an inconsolable little one that you will end up being up with all night, etc. I had a puppy like that before I ever new of these. She was traumatized. She was taken from her mom too soon. She was picked on by all the puppies around her because she was the smallest. At the same time she was used to her "pack," because she free roamed will all the litters the breeder had, so when she got to me, single, no pets, no pack, no breeder loving on her, she was beside herself. She was less than three pounds when I got her and she kept losing weight. I called the breeder and drove her back for the sake of the puppy. She needed to be back in that environment longer to thrive. Perhaps one of these Snuggle Pets would have helped her calm down? Perhaps not. But I do thing being in a small crate snuggling up to one of these would've have been at least some comfort to her. At any rate, I have one now even though I have no puppy. LOL. I have it on hand for the next puppy whenever my heart is ready again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kittens love the heartbeat *by K***J on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 8, 2017* This came without the heartbeat (most important part and really only part I want) contacted seller to let them know and the promptly sent out the heartbeat and gave me a few extra warmers. The bird is cute has Velcro loops to attach to side of cage. Use for my rescue bottle kittens or single kittens in quarantine. The heartbeat really works even just in the area under a blanket, if the toy is dirty and needs washed. I've had 80 plus kittens in past year or so. It's been tested well. The heartbeat last about a week before it's too faint uses aaa batteries the back has a little screw I threw it away and used little masking tape if the back gets loose. I also put the heartbeat in a small ziplock just to keep it safe from pee/spills. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Way better value! *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on April 13, 2018* I wouldn't purchase this as a warming source for neonatals. It's just a onetime use handwarmer. Get yourself Snuggle safe for that. But this is an EXCELLENT tool for any animals weaned too early! And as kittens get older they love batting around the wings and gnawing on the beak. Just as good/if not better than the puppy and kitty versions at a fraction of the price. Plus this guy has velcro to attach him to something.
