Update 1/2019: box is still in awesome shape and still my favorite ornament box out of the 5 we own. Either the quality has changed or people’s expectations are impossible, but ours is VERY sturdy and not showing any wear even after 5 Christmases and a move. I do think the current price of $40 is a bit absurd and that’s not what I paid, but as far as quality, it is standing the test of time - it resides in a hot, hot and pretty humid garage (I now live in Florida now).We own several other large ornament boxes (we own tons of ornaments from our travels) and this is by far the best one. It's very sturdy compared to the cloth covered ones that seem so ubiquitous. Love the pull-out drawers, as well as the different sizes of compartment for the ornaments. The drawers are ingenious - no more having to remove layers to get to a compartment may be further down toward the bottom of the box. It will be much easier for me to add ornaments to the box through the year as I collect them. I've considered buying an additional one and just storing it until we need it even if it may be several years away before we need another one because ornament boxes seem so darn hard to come by (we went to a couple of different big box stores the first week of January and no one had any!), much less ones that will stand up to the job and keep your memories safe.

I have loved Christmas Trees my entire life.The excitement of bringing down the cardboard boxes of carefully wrapped ornaments from the attic each year, remains a cherished memory.Now possessing a well-edited ornament collection, I wanted a vintage-style way to store it all - that meant cardboard, for sure!I was thrilled to find these boxes last year and bought 2. I bought a 3rd this year - and will just keep getting them as needed.The box itself is a neat piece of engineering - easy & fun to assemble, clear directions, very sturdy & hefty, vintage look, holds a lot!It may be the only cardboard one on the market - everything else is plastic or fabric (ugh).I LOVE these boxes & just hope they keep making them!LW from Providence RI

I bought this ornament orgnanizer for my christmas ornaments because I have alot of ornaments and this little chest holds alot! The cardboard is thick and seems like it will be durable. Because it is cardboard, the drawers don't slide in and out as easy as I would like. I had to use one hand to brace the chest and the other hand to pull or push a drawer. I like the different-sized drawers for large and smaller ornaments. The directions say it's easy to move and bend the interior compartments to allow for odd shapes and sizes, but it's not near as easy as they make it out to be. It has openings on the sides as handles, and that does make it easier to pick the chest up. All in all, I like this storage chest. It has enough room for all my ornaments that I've collected over the years and they are all in their own little compartments so they're not rubbing and bumping into each other. I feel like it's worth its price and should last for a long time.

I have had this ornament organizer for several years now. When I first got it, I loved it. But then I had a chance to truly use it.1) once filled with ornaments its flimsy. The handle actually ripped when I lifted it two or three Christmas' ago, so now we have to lift it from the bottom, which makes it awkward to carry when full.2) the drawers are difficult to open and close once full. The littlest thing will make the drawer go askew and not close. If one drawer doesn't close right, forget getting any other drawers in. I guarantee you will fight with the drawers at least once a season, and you will swear. A lot.3) there is no padding at all, so you will have to add bubble wrap or tissue paper for any breakable ornaments, which greatly reduces the depth of the compartments. My biggest complaint is that I wish the drawers were deeper to allow for packing because I have many sentimental ornaments that are glass. I've had several ornaments break in this thing.4) the price is ridiculous for cardboard. I've seen nicer canvas and plastic ornament totes for half the price that offered more sturdy storage.5) One big plus, the concept of drawers is great. It allows for you to see the ornaments on the bottom without removing all the different layers.So, all-in-all I love the concept of this, and if I was a little older with no kids, or was one of those people who have uniform, matching ornaments, this would work great. My ornaments are all different sizes and many don't fit in this well (depth-wise, after adding padding to prevent breakage).I've had this several years, so I have definitely gotten use from it and gotten my money out if it, but I dread pulling it out every year, especially at the end of the holiday when it's time to put stuff away because it's always a puzzle to get my stuff to fit back in again.Still, I gave it 3 stars just because I have used it several years, but the price is a little ridiculous. I'm finally replacing it this year.

I wanted storage for our ornaments that was more legit than tissue paper & shoeboxes :) I chose this item for its customizable slots within a set of drawers- and I’m so pleased that the two larger drawers even fit my large ball ornaments- I have 4 years of my kids’ handprints memorialized in those suckers and I want to be sure they’re stored properly! This product is made of corrugated cardboard so it needs to be stored somewhere sure to be dry. And assembly is required- it’s not too hard (especially if you have a logical person handy to assist!) I will be doubling up on protecting this container by storing it inside a Rubbermaid tote- military moves are rough on household goods! Cheers!

This was super easy to put together and has corralled all my ornaments and special figurines and ribbon into one place. I taped the outsides to give me extra piece of mind that it will stay together, but was not necessary as the cardboard was quite sturdy on its own.

Was a bit of a pain to put together. And there are only divisions between the top 2 smaller drawers and the bottom 2 larger drawers. So when you put out the bottom of the either of the drawer sets, the top slips down at the back. Lots of pushing and shoving to get back in!!!Also not quite a sturdy as I would have hoped. And it is BIG.But it holds loads .......

Love it! Holds far more than 82 ornaments. Sturdy and compact. I recommend this item. I will probably buy another one
