Firstly I need to address the negative reviews, the people that wrote them obviously lack common sense and knowledge as these devices are CLEARLY for U.2 ports as stated in the title and description. U.2 is a port found most commonly on Enterprise Servers and Storage devices and to a lesser degree on SMB devices and less commonly on SOHO devices. So it is no surprise the negative reviews were written by people with no idea what they are doing or buying.Now to the actual review. These are superior to a pair of open adaptors I have for my QNAP 973AX running NVMe drives for Cache Acceleration which would generate a fair amount of heat when moving large amounts of data across shares, especially during the summer months, causing the drives to hit close to and sometimes exceed 70 degrees Celsius. These adaptors however are much better in every aspect, from the 'closed' enclosure design to the thermal transfer lid and ventilated underside, as well as the thermal conductive pad.Even in these cooler and colder months the drives have been running at much lower temperatures when transferring terabytes of data around shares, that might seem like the most logical thing in winter, but since electricity generates heat and the drives are running at over 2gb/s moving vast amounts of data, the PCB and chips on NVMe drives get hot - these adaptors do a great job of dissipating the heat through the 'heatsink' lid and allowing the fan to draw the air away and out of the system.I have been using these since 18 November 2022 and find them to be an excellent addition to my 973AX, making it that little bit faster and helping to keep temperatures in a decent range. I would highly recommend this adaptor to anyone that knows what a U.2 port is.

At last I found one that will transfer my OS onto a new M.2 SSD. Worked very fast and had no problems
