Worth it.
My daughter has been using these to practice her first ink runs. Don't be fooled thinking they are anything close to real skin, it is basically impossible to replicate. That said, for practicing your various guns and needle arrays, it is perfect. You use these to learn how the devices "feel" and you can't judge your end-result by what the actual rubber tat looks like. Anyone who claims they are poor quality because of this needs some education. The sheets themselves are very large and thick. Ink penetration and absorption exceeded my expectations, although you get a very different effect from what you use as lubricant. Drying, blotting, no way could rubber be a replacement for real skin- so buy these knowing they are not for "art" but rather a rudimentary practice in how each style of tattoo device behaves.Overall, a must-have for anyone serious about getting into the business. We had some that were more expensive, but honestly we did not notice much of a difference, if any at all.

Not great
Not a good skin to practice. Its very difficult to get ink into. The practice skin is very hard, not anything like skin at all. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The transfer ink wouldn't wipe off either.. Save your money and go with a silicone practice skin. The result is totally different i promise. The clean skin is silicone much easier to use.

Not too shaby
Spent more time cleaning than working. This worked best for me...Coat whole thing in petroleum jelly. Everytime you wipe with your green soap, make sure you put more jelly on. Everytime i changed colors I completely wiped it down. Dry it off then put on a thin coat of jelly and work in circles with your fingers it breaks the excess/surface ink loose, then wipe. Re-coat and start next color.Takes a fair amount of effort to get the ink in. All in all, not bad at all for what they are. Good practice medium.

Eh, I wouldn't really bother
Honestly guys there is a reason this stuff is so cheap. Good synthetic skin is extremely expensive (impractically so) and pig skin is so cheap and MUCH more effective when compared to this. Yes it smells and can get gnarly pretty quick but this stuff is just so low quality that I really can't recommend it to anyone. It's basically a large piece of rubber. Does not take the ink at all and is extremely difficult to clean. Get some pieces of pig skin, watch a lot of vids and read tons of books. Get an apprenticeship and start tattooing yourself. Then tat your friends and fam. Then get your own clients.Starting with this really wouldn't help unless you have no accessible way to get pig skin, in which case I'd say buy one pack of this and then move on to your legs. Good luck!

Skin
I found this skin fairly easy to tattoo on but very hard to clean. The colors are not nearly as vivid after application like they would be if you are working on actual skin. I coated the skin with A & D before beginning and while practicing and I still had problems with cleaning the excess ink away. I am going to try baby oil to clean away the smearing.

Great for the price but...
These are great for the price and definitely an alternative to pig skins for beginners. However, these are not in anyway like skin at all. They do not take in ink as easily as skin do and is very hard to practice shading on as you cannot wipe off the extra ink on the surface without creating a mess that makes everything under it super hard to see. I would say they are good if you only want to get use to using a tattoo gun (the weight of tattoo guns, the vibration, etc.) Besides that, you can't really practice techniques that well on these.

Great for outlining
Great for outlining. Color and Shading are OK. Stains/smudges when wiping IF you don't use a lot of Vaseline.1. I apply the stencil and let it set over night. It is extremely hard to wipe off after setting a few hours.2. Re apply Vaseline after every wipe..EVERY wipe. I Vaseline the entire sheet even if I'm only using a a small portion. in case of splatter.3. Ink makes a difference. Get a good bottle of black ink.

These are only good for practicing getting used to the process of tattooing ...
I had to back these with duct tape and use them over cardboard because the line needle just cuts right through. These are only good for practicing getting used to the process of tattooing and to work on the precision of your line. You should graduate to real skin as soon as you develop those skills. Real skin is Completely different.
