This vitamin D is the best vitamin D supplement I have ever used. So many others have given me indigestion and gut problems. Just read the list of binders and fillers on capsules and those hard calcium pills and vitamins! But this vitamin works! This clear liquid vitamin D is so easy to absorb! It does make a difference!One drop equals 400 IU's. For infants, or children, they say to have only one drop. Adults, by the FDA says adults are supposed to have 800-1200 IU's a day with none deficiency and vitamin D deficiency. But other sources say 600 IU's a day.Here's the drawback. I took the higher dose for a week or so because my tests came back very low in vitamin D. So I started this and slowly upped the dosage to give my levels s boost. But after this high dose, I started having anxiety, rapid heart rate, and felt very uneasy and lack of sleep.I found out later that vitamin D is the only vitamin that is also a hormone steroid! It has some unpleasant side effects if you take too much! It is also stays stored in your system, for months. Your body takes the vitamin D and stores it in your body fat and is metabolized by the liver and kidneys. Too much isn't good but just enough and it works great!And just because it comes in baby doses doesn't mean it is any different for babies and adults. You body needs only so much of this steroid hormone which it uses to process calcium absorption.All the cautions aside, this supplement works! My bone density became much better and after adjusting the dose, everything worked out. My joints, teeth, and bones felt better. I dropped the dose down to 1-2 drops daily, one in the morning and one at night. And some days I skipped if I didn't need it.I would say this is a great product and worked for me. But remember that vitamin D is the only vitamin that is also a steroid. Be careful and especially if giving it to infants and children. But it does work, is easily absorbed, and I continue to use it.

Our pediatrician recommended this, and it has been a great addition to my baby's routine. The drops are incredibly easy to use—just one drop provides the full 400 IU dosage, which is convenient for busy parents. There’s no strange smell or taste, so my baby has no issue with it, even when added to food or milk.

Update: after almost a year of use, this has gotten much better. Baby actually seems to like the taste now, something that changed after a month or so of use. After the bottle is less full, dispensing becomes very easy, and I no longer have trouble getting exactly 1 drop. Since it seems like it will last a full year (365 drops) and baby continues to be healthy, I am changing this to 5 stars. Such good value.Original review 3 stars:Price wise this is cheaper than many other vitamin D drops, so 5 stars for price.My biggest issues were taste and dispensing. I follow the instructions exactly as the package states, but I often get more than 1 drop. My solution is to put a drop on my finger, then put it in baby’s mouth. Easier to avoid over dosing.The baby always cringes when I give this, so taste I must be bitter or something.

Easy to use, cheaper than ones from the store and 1 bottle last a whole year which is the amount of time you need them for!I will be getting these for everyone I know that is having a baby. They were highly recommended to me by 5 pediatricians before I even left the hospital after having my 2nd son!

Really love this vitamin. Used to give another one to my newborn baby and was consumed for six months, but it didn’t help after consuming this vitamins hair started to grow and I really see the difference. I would highly recommend it to you for your kids and babies, but the sink is dispensing is not comfortable.

We put this in my baby's bottle of breastmilk each day and he does not seem to taste a difference. We chose this brand because of the Consumer Reports article on the best vitamin d brands, and it has not disappointed! I appreciate the low cost as well

My son's pedi said that we needed to supplement with vitamin D drops since breast milk does not provide enough for baby's needs. She gave us a sample that required 1ml be given once daily - THESE are so much better!! I like that the drop comes out one at a time and that's all you need to meet baby's needs.Some reviewers stated that the drops were difficult to see or that too much comes out at once.. I found the drops easy to see and if the bottle is tipped upright immediately upon it's dispensing a single drop, there is no issue with the amount that is dispensed.These drops have no flavor (I tried it!) and can be placed on the nipple when breastfeeding, a pacifier, or in baby's food or bottle. I've also dropped into straight into baby's mouth when he was lying on his back so - lots of options!
