If we're talking ratings, the kickers are rated "300w rms" @ 4ohms a piece and this amp here says it'll do 600w by each channel in stereo at 2 ohms. With both front and rear wired together to drop my door speakers down to 2 ohms per side, just a left and right. this amplifier is perfect for my setup. Let me say this, IT IS SO LOUD!! I love it!! I used it as a direct replacement for an audiopipe amplifier I had before that died without notice. The apmn-2075. With direct comparison, this hifonics amplifier gets way louder, will run you out of the car it's so loud. Other people in traffic will stare at you and judge you because they can hear every word to the song your listening to. It's amazing. The tuning of the amp is very straight forward, I ended up not touching anything but the gain since Im using this amp as a full range and my head unit does the rest. I managed to turn the gain all the way up and never heard distortion so I backed it down a bit off of full blast to hopefully be safe. Full size 4 gauge power and ground is wonderful I can actually fit decent cables in this amp. I've had a few hifonics amps before, never had huge issues with any of them like I've had with other brands. Here you go man, YES. The big 3 has all to do with grounding your electrical system and then making sure your current from the alternator to your battery is more than adequate. That is the core of your question. Now once the big 3 is complete you can choose whatever gauge you need to meet the amount of power for your amplifiers needs. If you were running a smaller system <600 to 800 watts then yeah 4 gauge is fine, but if you're already running 0/1 and you want to future proof incase you wanna run 1200+ then go ahead and run the giant stuff because it never hurts to have more than you need. Also don't waste your money getting cheap on the wire that goes to the amp from the battery. Works great *by E***K on April 3, 2025* I have this app wired in parallel to dual voice coil ( 10” sound town ) in a prefab heavy vented box and it hits really hard and with the head unit I cam tune the frequency and gain. I LOVE THIS AMP… had it 3 years so far and don’t skip a beat… lol pardon the pun. I also have a Theta 1425. On custom speaker arrays. Just as clean but swapped this out for my old JL 4 channel 2800 watt and it blows the theta away. All in a 2007 crue cab Colorado. The tweeters are horn tweeters that are so loud and clear is amazing. The hi- phonics and is amazing…This stuff is going in my next vehicle period.
