One has developed a crack. More importantly, the plates leak fine silica sand. Use them outside. Duct tape works. I still use them. I am so glad to have SOMEthing, ANYthing. **Q: How thick are the 7.5lb plates?** A: Has to be 2” thick. The set is way too bulky for a 20lb weight in my opinion. **Q: Is there an option to buy extra weights? I’m weak and going from 5 lbs straight to 15 lbs is a tad too much. I’d like to be able to get extra 2.5s?** A: I doubt it and it wouldn’t be efficient due to the screw on feature it would take a while to switch the weights out. I’d invest in a lighter adjustable dumbbell system.
