Can anyone help me with a spreader setting for a scott’s elite spreader? i am looking to overseed at a 4 pound per 1000 rate.

Take this with a grain of salt, but when looking up a Scott's perennial ryegrass product and its product label, it states the setting for the elite spreader would be setting 5 for reseeding and setting 9 for a new lawn. Seed sizes should be similar as both products are perennial ryegrass with seed coating.

I plan to do my lawn an aeration & overseed this Fall. Is seed ok to germinate in aerate hole (2 to 3" deep) & on aeration plug?

It can certainly be done, but doing a little more prep can give the seed a better chance at germination and sprouting far enough to reach sunlight. You can try and break up the cores by mowing low, which can be a little difficult, or even dethatch which should break cores loose and deposit some soil back into the holes. Another option could be topdressing with either sand or clean compost, depending on your original soil type, which should fill in most of the hole you created. Finish by seeding and topdressing a thin, final layer and you should be set!

How dark is this blend? I saw a picture and it looked to be a medium/light green. Is that accurate? I would love a deep dark color
