So as other reviews has stated there are NO instructions… (layer the pearls clear, color, clear, etc then add water) to use these and soooo I used wayyy to many of the clear pearls. A tiny few goes a long way. Even after putting these two together I still had a sandwich bag full of the fully grown clear pearls. I added them (tiny clear pearls) to the vase with water and thought that had grew to the proper size so I added the color pearls and more water.. before I knew it they were overflowing lol. I had to remove many of the clear pearls thus the sandwich bag. But it came out so cute I’ll just buy another vase or two and will use the rest of the color pearls to make another vase. The kids enjoyed helping, it was a cheap way to decorate my vases for our dinning room table and definitely a lesson learned.

Although there are no instructions, it’s simple to figure out.You don’t need many clear beads. Mine were tinged a bit yellow, as other reviewers stated, but once they soak, they clear up quite nicely.Soak them overnight in distilled water. They will keep fresh longer this way. As I said, I used waaaaay too many. I covered the bottom of each jar, and ended up discarding a gallon or more of beads when everything was said and done.Once the beads have expanded, scoop what you like into your jar and layer in your other decorations. You could also push the other items through the beads. Make sure you leave several inches open at the top for water and/or a candle if you plan to use one. You can always add more beads and decorations. It’s harder to take them out.Fill the jar with distilled water. This will make your beads nearly invisible. (See photos.)I’m loving the look, although I did leave quite enough space at the top. Enjoy!

Totally satisfied. Looks great with the floating black and gold beads. Easy to use. Be advised, the water beads really grow a lot after being added in water so be careful on the amount of beads used (or you will end up with too much like we did 😁).Also, for the people who comment that they don't work because the colored beads don't float; read the description, look at the item pictures here on Amazon with the instructions, or go watch a YouTube video so you instruct yourself first. They are not mean to float. They create a floating effect when properly combined with the water beads and additional water.

Sometimes the reviews can deter you from a purchase. I'm glad I didn't read these reviews before the purchase.Yes, no instructions in the packaging. The instructions and images are in the photos on Amazon. Just go back and take a look.1st time using water beads here!!! What you see in the picture took about 8 hours. I used about 1/2 tablespoon of beads. I was not sure how much water to add so I just checked every 2 hours and added more water as the filled beads went over the waterline.You have to use a layering process (like lasagna) if you want the beads to float. 1st I removed all the water from the clear beads, then I started in an empty vase layering the clear beads and adding the color beads in between the clear beads. Once your about 1/2 an inch away from the top of the vase, stop. Them add water to the top. The result will be your floating beads!The color of the gold beads look to be in between rose gold and gold. It depends on the lighting. If you think you will be disappointed with a softer gold, then this color is not for you.I don't know how long these water beads will last, i dudntvresearch that far. Trying something new for the Thanksgiving set up. This was the test run. I am absolutely pleased so far.

WHAT I LIKE about this product: The water gel beads are clear and lustrous. I didn't know that they would have expanded that much: 1 tablespoon would have filled a whole vase after soaking. They expand a lot!!! I rinsed them out because the water looked a little cloudy at 1st but after the rinse they looked so shiny! Looked great in a clear vase.WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE about this product (and the reason why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5): It came with no instructions. I had to go back to the Amazon website description of the product to know what to do! Really? This absolutely ridiculous! And not enough of the white and pink pearl beads: only a hand full of those. My floral arrangement looked beautiful but it would have looked even better with more white and pink pearl beads.PS: make sure you let the water gels soak for the 6 hours before use as recommended

Guys this Me out so beautiful it really didn’t take too many smalls beads to make a huge expansion but you may want to buy the bigger pearls it wasn’t that many of those so I put three colored ones in each glass and then added the clear beads then fill the glass up doesn’t matter the size it will definitely expand

The gold color is much lighter that it shows here.
