You will need a mesh cage for the end of the butterfly lifecycle. **Q: How many days does it take for them to hatch from when you receive the caterpillars?** A: We received our caterpillars on the 10th and they formed their chrysalis on the 22nd. It is supposed to take 10 - 14 days from then for the butterflies to appear. So total should be around 3 - 4 weeks. From the video, you can see when the chrysalis was forming. Every year, the Easter bunny brings my daughter caterpillars this is our fourth year doing it, and it means so much to us. Our first and second sets came from this company, and after trying another company last year (which unfortunately sent fewer caterpillars and even had a couple arrive not alive), it really showed us the difference in quality and care.
