Halo - The Art of Building Worlds: The Great Journey

This book is great. I bought this used but it looks brand new. Plenty of pictures and art design and a great read.

I'm one of the biggest Halo fans I know. I've been a fan since I was 10, back when Halo: Combat Evolved first released. It's been one hell of a journey. I don't collect many things, and though my most expensive hobby is definitely my love for cars, Halo might be second on that list. So, when I found this product on amazon, it didn't take much time for me to add it to my cart, along with a few other Halo books/art books. And I was so glad I did. I can't really go into detail about it. If you're reading this, it is likely you're a big Halo fan, and the only question in your mind is "is this worth $25?" To me, the answer is unabashedly yes. But I'm an admitted Halo-fanboy. I love the art, the music, the characters, the story, the gameplay, the canon, the history. This book is just another cherry on the lovely Halo cake. And I love cherries!

9/10 this book doesn’t really waste a page I feel like. I’m so happy they didn’t cram any 343 stuff in this book and let bungie’s legacy shine all the way on every page with a pretty good informative analysis of each thing in the pages. must have book for any above average halo fan. They didn’t go into to much detail at all about noble team they didn’t even show carter or really any images of the interior buildings of the installations or guilty spark concepts. But still a really solid book worth the money just would of made it perfect with that for me.

My sister loves the series and is an inspiring digital artist. She loves the book with all the background of the areas and characters. I noticed little details like there are images and text that are glossed but not the whole page. The inside covers are background art, there is even a nice looking engraving in the cover under the dust jacket.

This is a great addition to my art book collection. Came 10 days earlier than I was expecting, thanks Amazon.

The book itself is gorgeous, big, heavy, and loaded with glossy full color pages. It is absolute eye candy. I’m docking a star because the dust jacket was half covered in a sticky substance, which I think was hand soap. It soaked the bottom edge and caused it to be warped. No damage to the book itself but this was a gift for my son. It was shipped by Amazon so someone knew they put it in the box like that. Pretty disappointed. I was able to get the sticky stuff off with a damp washcloth but the warping damage is still there. I would have tossed the dust jacket but it has an illustration and the inner book cover is black. It’s part of the presentation. Amazon, watch how you pack things, please. Other books in my order were jammed and edges were ruined.

Great book covering art from the classic Halo era. Highly Recommend

A real treat! Nice coffee table book loaded with incredible Halo Art. Features everything from Covenant to Flood to UNSC. This large hardcover does not disappoint. It has it all weapons, uniforms, armor, Spartans, Noble Team, ODST, Fleet vehicles, and spacecraft. Buy it! John-117 would.

Also ich habe dieses Buch mit geteilter Meinung gekauft da einige sagten "spar dir das geld so gut ist es nicht" und andere wiederrum "Die zeichnungen sind so Wahnsinn, dass es ein MUSS für jeden Halo Fan ist." Also hab ich es mir letzendlich gekauft. Die Zeichnungen sind wikrlich der absolute Hammer. Es ist detalliert und wenn ich das richtig gesehn habe, dann sind einzelne Teile von Halo 1 wie zum Beispiel die Kammer in der der Master Chief aus der Kryo erwacht ( unteres Bild ist von Halo 1 und das obere Bild sieht aus wie die gezeichnete Version für Halo Combat envolved Anniversary) gezeichnet. Ebenso der schweigende Karthograf ist meines Errachtens nach gezeichnet und nicht gerade schlecht. Dieses Buch fasziniert mich und ich kann sagen, dass es sich jeder Halo Fan holen sollte.

Questo Artbook raccoglie quasi 200 pagine di concept provenienti da ogni capitolo di Halo prodotto da Bungie, da CE a Reach. Un compito non semplice, ma condotto con estrema coscienza e presentando una carrellata di ottimi concept, environments, location, divisi per titolo. Inutile soffermarsi su quanto gli artisti di Bungie siano stati capaci di creare qualcosa di estremamente prezioso e graficamente accattivante nel mondo visivo dello sci-fi, da cui centinaia di artisti si sono ispirati. Per cui, un must per ogni amante della fantascienza e un bel pezzo da collezione.
