Easy to pair with phone, but interface is not all that easy to operate.The price is an excellent value, and it looks like a well designed keeper.Instructions say that if you drop a probe in the coals (within 1 year) and no longer functions, it will be replaced FREE.I look forward to monitoring my temps from indoors, even in winter.

I take back my bad review. I said that the product didn't work. I contacted the company, which was very easy to do and let them know that we couldn't get it to work. They got right back to me within 24 hours and said they were sending a replacement. I Iove a company that stands behind their product and helps the customer in by replying quickly and solving the problem. Anytime I see a company run that way, they are on my good list!

Great product

This was a Hail Mary given the low cost but I only needed to watch ambient temp in the two smokers this week. It arrived in a few days so it is stocked here which is awesome.My initial bench test showed that the detentes that lock the probes in place take a good push to snap in but they will snap in when you push them. Two did loose connectivity as I was juggling it around but once on the smoker table and pushed snug all worked and kept working. Low low temp showed some variance, between 63 and 59 degrees but this is well outside of the low end of the working range so it is actually better than I expected. I will update this when the stupid rain stops and I can light up both smokers.With 6 probes you can instrument a lot and I am going to test smoker temp at a few points to look for inconsistencies in my smokers. There are no little metal clips to hold probes under a grill grate but that is easily remedied with a piece of wire if it wont stay put on the grate by just laying it thereNo manual included but the only thing needed is A) hold the button down for a few seconds to turn it on/off and B) Download the Govee Home app like the description says. The app says it needs access to your location always so I hit no and everything still worked fine. The app was easy and very convenient.I will reply to this with at temp test results and maybe some images once the rain finally ends, Overall I am really happy with this

I've had this for quite a while and have since bought another brand that came with 4 probes hoping to use a couple for this one. Then I could use on inside and one outside. Unfortunately they use a different size jack. Using the other one made me appreciate this one so much more though that I figured I should go back and review this one. The other model I just got has it's own separate receiver rather than using a phone app. I like the phone app better as it's easier to read and navigate. I also found the receiver from the other brand to be quite bulky. I have a large yard and one of the things I liked best about the Govee unit was that I could monitor whatever I was cooking while mowing or doing yardwork from anywhere on my property. The other unit didn't have the range and the receiver was too big to fit in my pocket. Upon testing I found that the most important feature was completely lacking and that was accuracy! I tested the units against each other in my smoker. The other unit read about 10-15 degrees higher than the smoker probe, the Govee unit or an analog thermometer hanging in the smoker which all matched. Obviously the other unit won't be used again. I thought I was getting a bargain as the other unit was the same price as two replacement probes and I got 4 probes with it. What I got was unusable garbage. I think I'll just buy another one of these since it now comes with two probes. I might just buy an extra set of probes two though I don't usually need more than two at a time.

What can I say about this bluetooth meat thermometer? I seemsto of very sturdy construction. It allows up to six probes at once to allow you access to any one item you are cooking. Last it is Bluetooth and YES it does have an app for that called GOVEE Home App. This is probably one of the worst apps ever. Apparently this model for the app has been discontinued, but it's not on the active or inactive model selections. Once you get it programmed in by the grace of GOD it almost immediately, tempts me with a temp (pun intended) and it goes crazy and I need to start over again. At this point I don't care it isn't Bluetooth (I bought because I just had spine surgery and hope to be able do some smoking towards mid August early September. I was just going to save myself a few step by checking the temp and adjusting my wood. But anyways. It seems to hold good temp and you down load this app (it's for the whole catalog of GOVEE branded items) and see if ypu care about the BT function. Maybe use it this year and get a name brand on next year.
