Decopolitan 278656836 1-Inch Urn Single Window Treatment Rod Set, 36 to 72-Inch, Antique Silver

I bought these as an attempt to match a set I bought from Home Depot that are no longer available. Because these curtain rods were only $28.00 each, they cost $20.00 less than the ones I had bought at Home Depot (2) years ago! I bought the 1 inch Single Window Treatment Rod Set, 72-144 inch length, in Antique Silver. I bought them to slide directly through the curtain heading (not eyelet or tab heading) and they are perfect! They look better in person than they do online because online they look plastic or slightly cheap. In person, they look great and I love the rod bracket too because it is almost decoration in itself. This set comes with 3 rods, you can use 2 or 3 depending on the length of windows you need to cover. I didn't need to use all three, but I rather have the extra distance if I want to expand or need to cover a longer window area in the future. This set includes (3) rod brackets (1 for each end and 1 for the middle support) and I did use all three brackets although because I only used 2 rods, I think I could have just used the (2) end brackets... I cannot speak to the hardware provided because I chose to use "EZ Anchors" which you drill right into the wall with a Phillip's drill bit (that right! No more pre-drilling for drywall anchors!) and then use the same drill bit to install the screw into the anchor. Again, at $28.00, I think these are an excellent buy, and I will definitely be buying them again!

Looks really nice and durable, comes with all screws and anchors needed for installation, perfect length for our 52 inches wide window, color is beautiful and matches our decor.

I ordered these rods as well as the matching hold backs with urn finials in warm bronze. I am quite pleased with them. The color is warm but it is a very dark bronze, almost a black-brown. They are sturdy but lightweight and should easily support any drape. The urn is a very classic design and versatile. Mine are paired with teal colored drapes but they would look good with a warm linen color or just about any color, though I would choose the silver for navy blue or burgundy drapes. I think they look really nice, and for the price, they are a good quality. I am definitely tempted by rods with very expensive, unique finials, but the economist in me usually rules the day. I would recommend the matching urn hold backs as well to complete the look. I would like to add that I had absolutely no problem installing these rods. Piece of cake.

The actual bar was thicker than I expected since i've purchased the shorter version of this product for my living room windows & the rod was much thiner in that case. It makes sense as it's a longer set & seems very sturdy. Mounting brackets (three brackets) & screws are included. The reason i'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the mounting brackets have bit of a design flaw. The design is a little off, the curve of the bar makes it difficult to use any size screw driver (I even tried a tiny one!) or a power tool during install for the top of the mounting bracket, although the lower screw driver hole is unobstructed & does not have that issue. The mounting brackets are attractive & match the set, the curvature just comes up high enough to give you minimal room to try to install. It forces you to drive the screw in at a bit of an angle but that's not the end of the world. Poor design but it's still functional and can be done. I'm a twenty-something woman with minimal experience in this sort of thing. I like to think of myself as pretty capable, it's not hard to do, just being upfront about my experience & the design of the bracket. I've seen other reviewers complain about this but it does not make the brackets included unusable. Drive them in at a bit of an angle & you'll be fine, they still hold up fine. I certainly didn't expect perfection for the price, anybody would be naïve to think that they would expect superior quality and design for a product at this price. The only issue I could foresee is if you're having to drive through a stud which I did not have to do. Even then, if you had to buy another bracket set, the rod itself is just fine! The rod itself is thick & nice. It feels heavy & sturdy, also slides well to expand the size, which worked perfectly for me! It's used over a set of sliding doors to my backyard to help block out sun to insulate the room from the sun streaming in. Since it's to our backyard, the curtains get drawn and opened a dozen times a day to let our dogs out. We have four dogs, two large (Pit/Lab mix & a Husky mix) & two small (dachshunds) who jump on the curtain, consequently putting weight & pressure on the rod, but the rod has held up great for this! We've had it up for about two weeks now with absolutely zero issues. Overall i'm very pleased with the purchase, although the design of the mounting bracket isn't ideal, it still holds up fine & you can't tell the difference once it's completely installed. I would definitely recommend it despite the brackets being imperfect, it's a great deal & quality for the price. You get what you pay for & despite the brackets, I think it's very high quality for what I paid!

Very nice curtain rod, we have it expanded to 120", at this length when you mount the rod it feels and looks like it will bow, but with the supplied center support it holds our heavy black out curtains nicely. No sagging at all, even when opening and closing the curtains. Other reviewers have mentioned that the top screws don't go in straight, its true! The bracket design makes it difficult to get them in straight. But while mine angled in, a right angle screw driver mounted them flush with the bracket. I have no issues with that at all. Everything is color matched so unless you're looking for it you won't really see it. Mine mounted nicely and are very sturdy. Three brackets are provided and extend 4.75" from the wall and are about 2.75" tall(mounting flange) and are made of some type of cast metal. My only suggestion get better screws, the ones provided deform pretty easy. The rods fit into each other pretty snugly with no excess play between the pieces. Overall they were better than what I could find locally.

These rods are great....it's impossible to find shorter rods (17" - 36") in the big box stores so I was so happy to find them on Amazon. I ordered the bronze which look really nice - it took my husband about 30 minutes to install mainly because of measuring and making sure both sides were even. I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about when they say it's difficult to screw these in - there are no awkward angles, etc. The rods ship with screws and sinkers. These are a great buy for the price. For reference I have the rods extended to 24" in the pictures.
