Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition of this 1981 album from the Scottish Hard Rockers including 10 bonus tracks. One of Britain's hardest working bands, Dunfermline's Nazareth are road warriors par excellence. For almost 40 years, they have performed in front of fervent audiences across the globe and, showing no signs of slowing down, with additional guitarist Billy Rankin and keyboard maestro John Locke on board, Nazareth produced this potent live document during their 1981 North American tour. This version is augmented by bonus tracks drawn from the Seattle leg of the tour plus two further studio cuts by this new incarnation of the group. Whether you call Nazareth's first live album It's Naz or Snaz (sometimes 'Snaz, thanks to the somewhat ambiguous sleeve art), there is no denying it's presence. On it's release in 1981, they had been operating professionally for 13 years and were at the peak of their considerable powers. 29 tracks. Salvo. 2011.

Nazareth's Live Album 'Snaz' (Vancouver 1981)
Snaz is the greatest live rock n roll album of all time. Nazareth's line up for this live 1981 concert in Vancouver, consisting of Dan McCafferty, Manny Charlton, Billy Rankin, John Locke, Pete Agnew and Darrell Sweet, was Nazareth at their best.!Every single song is as good as the other and the guitar blend of Manny Charlton and Billy Rankin are unsurpassed to this day. If you listen to Manny Charlton's guitar riffs, you will know why he should have been voted the greatest guitarist of them all. (Unfortunately, he was never given the recognition or kudos he deserved).Their version of 'Cocaine' is far better than JJ Cale or Eric Clapton. Nazareth we're never given the recognition they deserved as the world's greatest rock band at this time. As a young teenage fan, Axel Rose's inspiration came from Nazareth.Once you've heard this entire album, you will be convinced that Nazareth were the greatest rock band of them all.!!! This is a 5 Star Album, without question. If you can get your hands on one, you will be one of the lucky few. They are becoming very scarce..Good luck.Derek in Joburg

A must have
If Frampton comes Alive is the live album of the 70's then this is the must have live album of the 80's. Nazareth's studio albums are flat and uninspiring where as this will have you dancing in the isles. I completely wore this album out in high school but never got tired of hearing it.

Awesome Show!!!
Finally, finally, Snaz is released on CD without costing an arm and a leg. I have the vinyl LP edition which I bought when it first came out back in the day but have always wanted to have this on CD. I saw Nazareth on this same 1981 tour in Saginaw, MI in October 1981. This CD captures Nazareth at their best. It sounds fantastic. I remember when they opened the show with Telegram, the letters of the Nazareth sign would flash one at a time in sync with the rhythm guitar. Disc 1 is the May 1981 show recorded in Vancouver, BC. What's great about this show is that it's an entire show. Not songs spliced together from various shows. It's a complete show. I have not listened to disc 2 yet so I cannot speak to that. To me, that's a non-issue. The re-release of disc 1 alone is worth buying this CD.Kudos to the Nazerath camp for releasing this wonderful music and bringing back a lot of great memories...

Great Live album
Love this album. One of my favorite live albums. A friend had in vinyl way back in 1983. I made a copy on cassette. But missed the last two songs. I bought a cd a few years back and the one cd got broken. So I bought another copy. This copy. Still love the cd but doesnot have the studio songs like the original lp and the cd that I did iwn.

Awesome Live LP!
Very good lp. Had it as a kid and had to get it again. Very good quality. Did have to send the 1st one back because the center label was offset and was on the last track. Return was simple and received the 2nd right away. Great live album. Great cover art.

I've been waiting three years to find this one.
I've been searching three years to find this concert on CD. The last that I had read was that Eagle records had bought the rights to the Nazareth catalog reproduced the "It's Naz" live in it's entirety. Prior to that it had been released only as a single CD which cause the record companies to hack the crap out of it taking it from it's original 20 tracks all the way down to 12. Who would want that? Thank you Salvo records for reissuing the entire CD with all 20 original tracks plus for a mild bonus eight more which were from their Seattle leg of that tour year. If you're a Nazareth fan you'll want to get this CD before they pull off the market again and maybe for the last time. It's Naz

Excellent, with my personal gripe
Excellent recording, excellent package. Informative booklet. My only gripe is why "he-whoever it was" deemed it necessary to add bonus tracks.....ONE CONCERT....ONE ENTITY ! It's obviously just to "fill out" the CD. Only one of the bonus live tracks isn't on the Vancouver concert, so pointless. AND the addition of a German version of Morning Dew, with another song from '81 seems to me of just scrabbling around for extras. Again, just to fill it out. I for one, don't want filler additions. Like I said....ONE CONCERT....ONE ENTITY. Leave them as such !
