sorry can only give this four stars as I find threading of the machine really difficult as the needle has to be threaded front to back instead of side to side.and as there is not a lot of space at the back of the needle to gather the cotton especially if you are an older person with arthretic fingers.also the eye of the needle is that small it's very hard to get the cotton in anyway.and even harder if you have poor eyesight.not easy to use at all.very disappointed

Value for money
Lovely machine. It's my first machine in 40 years. Easy to use, very smooth. Its definitely value for money. You get all the accessories you need with it.My only bad point is threading the needle, if you have great eye sight it would be fine, but like a lot of people I don't and using the little needle threaders is difficult and fiddly around the back, not much room.

Easy to use
Not used a machine for years, so was apprehensive as so many on the market. Didn't want to pay to much in case I struggled with it. Well I needn't of worried, it simple and easy to use has done a good job for what I want and its not complicated like some of them. Recommend if you want to start sewing or return.

Singer are not as good as they make out
We got this for my daughter for Christmas. She opened it up, put it on her dressing table never used it for a couple of weeks. Then, she decided she would like to try and make some clothing. We followed the setup. Instructions started to so, and the needle kept jamming. We re done it according to the instructions. Again? It sowed. for a little bit. But then the bottom bobbing thread stopped coming up, looked into It on YouTube and online, and people say that shuttle is not aligned. I have had a good look at it. According to their instructions and it is aligned. I can see it grabbing the thread from the needle But it doesn't grab the thread from the bottom bobbing. She's said to me, I thought singer was supposed to be a good make. That's what I said to her. i've changed my mind now. They're rubbish. I bought her a 50 pound cheap sewing. machine and it is working alright.. I would not waste my money on a singer. So machine again.

Replacement
Nice little machine easy to use replacement for my sturdy 40 year old singer don't think this will last as long but it will do

Disappointing dose not self adjust tension
The bobbin thread keeps coming out with black oil on. No instructions how to adjust tension, l was sewing a thin cotton duvet, l tried always to get the tension right but did not achieve it.

I use it at home for small projects. Super easy to use, does it’s job no problem, I haven’t faced any issues with it yet. I like the extra storage area in the machine.
