Wonderful range of useful (and just plain odd) information
I am sure, like me, you are a fan of all things Lakeland - from Wainwright's essential tomes to Wordsworth's (mostly) elegiac poetry. This wonderful new book brings together charts, diagrams, maps and other magical representations of all those things you probably didn't know about the Lakes...so we have- Cumbrian's on Desert Island Discs- Cumbrian insults- the Ales of Lakelandand more and more and moreSo if you are sitting in your comfy home, miles away from the wintry Lakes, with a comforting whisky by your side - this is the perfect book to browse through and encourage you to book another holiday - Borrowdale for me!

Bigger than expected
Had intended this to be a stocking filler but will need to wrap not that that is important. Looks to be informative and clear.

Fascinating Book for anyone who loves the Lakes
I didn't want to put this down. Packed full of fascinating information, beautifully presented, sparks lots of great conversations. Even for the most Lakes literate person there's so much that will surprise and provoke. I especially love the farm pages, the sandwich spread and 'King of the Fells' . I've bought it for a few Lakes loving friends for Christmas (not from here as I needed it faster) and can't wait to give it to them.
