I don't like swimming: Let Jean-Paul & friends help you prepare for your swimming lessons.

We love this book my daughter came home with it from schools libraray she was only allowed to have it for a few days but she wonted to keep it, so we brought it online then we found the authors wrote a second book which we decided to buy as well. My daughter loves them wonts to read them everyday. The book has encouraged her to start swimming lessons again after a tricky start and is doing so well so proud of her.

Found this book at the perfect time, been looking for something with primary school age children. We love the illustrations.

What a delightful book,portraying a diversity of characters from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds. It is a good introduction for any child learning to swim, because it explains/shows how children should be dressed, with a list of do's & don'ts for children attending a lesson with a Swimming Teacher. It also stresses the importance of being prepared & not wasting time,so that children can enjoy the experience, & get the most from their Swimming lesson. It is illustrated with lovely clear pictures,aimed at encouraging children to discuss the characters experiences,as well as their own, at the swimming pool. This book follows Jean-Paul, and other children, who start off disliking swimming, but end up loving it. This is an informative book, that children will enjoy reading. My child certainly did!!!!! I look forward to Book 2.

I like the style of this new book for children who feel no choice but to express that they don't like swimming lessons. I believe it is very important to acknowledge how every individual feels about learning to swim if they are to be successfully met at their starting point. So I applaud Miss Joyce for taking the time to reach out so honestly to this group and hope she keeps up the great work.

This book is fantastic, my children love it and at the moment it's their favourite- we are reading it every night! It's a great way to prepare your children and yourself for swimming lessons and I picked up some good tips- I now make sure both of mine go to the loo beforehand even if they don't need to! Also I have got better at putting their swimming hats on!! Thoroughly recommended!

Really lovely book that was very helpful for both me and my child who has just started swimming lessons. We really enjoy reading this book together the nigh before swimming lessons. This book has really helped my child be prepared for lessons and we can't wait to see what happens to Jean-Paul and friends in the next book.

My 5 year old enjoyed it very much and it helped her deal with her apprehensions about swimming.
