I grew up reading books that were illustrated by Susan Jeffers, and I've recently went on a pilgrimage to collect my favorite childhood books, and this is one of them. Susan's style of art is just gorgeous, and when it's paired with classic tales, you get an unforgettable masterpiece. Her books are ones that'd I'll probably read to my own children one day.

I purchased 3 of this title for our school library and would love to own my own copy. The illustrations are so lovely. I enjoy paging through books Susan Jeffers has illustrated. Amy Elrich's retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale is just right. The combined efforts of reteller and illustrator make this a very accessible book for the children's book section in any library.

I brought this book for my granddaughter who was born 3lb. Now she 14lb but still small like her grandma. I love this book as a little girl and I hope she love'"s it too.

I've read several Thumbelina books and this one has always captured my imagination more than the others. The elegant illustrations blend perfectly with the tone of the story. Love everything about this book!
