It's smokey, and barley sweet. I will stick to buying bricks from Etsy and pulverizing them myself. There really is nothing in this world like Vietnamese oud, even Cambodian oud is a second class product compared to it. I really like this scent. It is soft, sweet and woody. The scent of fresh cut wood when burned with a slight 'green' undertone. I have smelled various types of aloeswood and for the price this is quite nice especially for incense making. If you are looking for amazing $300 plus an ounce smell then look elsewhere. But for every day heating in an electric incense burner this gives a lovely fresh woody base that is quite relaxing.If you want to burn this alone then the smell may not be strong enough or seem bland.
