Variable speed trigger.
Great price, went to dealer and questioned if it was variable speed trigger and was told by sales rep that it was not. I just tried it and yes the trigger is variable speed on each of the 3 speed settings. It works great.

Manage your expectations
I am an industrial mechanic (think oil rigs, oil refineries, power plants, etc), it is a fast paced, heavy duty environment. The idea of a cordless die grinder has always been alluring to me given the sometimes remote areas I work in.This is an excellent product. The RPMs (0 - 21,000) are governable depending on how much you squeeze the trigger, which is nice for carbide burr bits, and the tool is light weight and easy to manipulate.I saw in previous reviews that people are having difficulty inserting quarter inch accessories into the collet. This is typical with new die grinders and gets easier over time. Unscrewing the collet just a little more will allow the bit to be inserted. I also saw that some people were having trouble removing a bit, that is the point of what is quite frankly a dangerous tool. Smacking the collet with the provided wrench after loosening it, releases the bit. This is true for every die grinder. All this said. This is not a heavy duty tool, however, DIYers or hobbyists would love it. If you're imagining a pneumatic die grinder that you've used in the past, you will be disappointed. Under heavy duty loads (cutting through greater than 1/16 inch metal with a cut off wheel, pressing firmly into a work piece with a carbide burr) the tool does bog down and sometimes stall. This tool is for light applications, if you're OK with that, this tool will serve you well and you'll enjoy using it.

Good quality tool
Love Milwaukee on many Milwaukee tools I was very surprised at this tool could grind port and Polish heads that are made out of steel or aluminum this has been a great tool I will keep using it for this and many other projects good quality the factory battery that comes with the small one is not the best so if possible upgrade a little bit or get two with it but other night good quality good tool gets the job done

Great buy.
Can't go wrong. Works great with carbide as the motor will stall before rapidly running around a hole and destroying your burr. Not like pneumatic but great for remote or precision work.

Well built and super convienient
Love this thing. I've already committed to Milwaukee so that I don't have a half-dozen battery systems. Built like a tank, and it made quick work of some welding boogers on a couple of pieces another shop delivered to me. Easily let me put a quick radius on some hardened steel through holes.
