Great chop saw
I thought I would give the diamond chop saw blade a chance. Happy I did it works great and seems to last forever. It will save you time and money not having to switch blades and the diameter of the blade never gets smaller. Safer way to chop. Invest in this blade and it will save you money.

this blade still cuts as good as when I first purchased it
Purchased September of 2016 and it’s used in a commercial application, this blade still cuts as good as when I first purchased it. I have cut the equivalent of at least 500 standard chop saw blades worth of ¼” and 1/8” steel. Go to my website akfirepits.com and see for yourselves every bit of that flat bar, angle & square tubing cut with this blade, but you have to understand how to properly use a chop saw you can’t just lay on it and expect it to cut like a shear. Background: I own and run a large metal fabrication factory, and go thru abrasive discs like candy (10 per day), and my employes look foward to every time they have to change a blade to goof off, since i change to these blades my worries are gone, only gripe is its noisy as hell, now we my guys gota wear ear protection when cutting, im no expert on decibles but i guess its about 50% louder than regular wheels, on last thing i have noticed is that the regular 7/64 thick abrasive wheels tend to bend on certain angle cuts, and this wheel does not do that. WORKS FOR ME, GOOD LUCK

Cuts slower than I would have expected. This is my first diamond grit blade, so didn't know what to expect. Will switch back to carbide when this blade is no longer usable.

Makes inaccurate cuts :$10.00 blade makes considerably better cuts.
I bought this blade because I wanted to make cuts that were straighter than the diablo abrasive disc/saw blades. While the DW8500 wobbles less ,it makes a concave cut (not straight). I assume it expands from heat too much or something in the middle of the cut and not the ends. As another reviewer that went back to cheap style of abrasive discs states," it leaves a rough edge" as well. If you don't need accurate cuts ,this blade makes little dust and cuts fast and with little pressure but if you have to butt two pieces of metal together for welding ,forget it.
