Good and useful.

Generic brands just do not compare to the original Q-tips. The cotton is wound tightly so it does not unravel or leave "fuzzies" behind, and the paper sticks are sturdy enough to not snap under pressure. They are perfect for everything from cleaning tight spaces to touching up eyeliner.

There are certain items where it is absolutely worth buying the name brand, and this is one of those. I have purchased the generic before, and they bend far too easily whereas these have both good tension and also a better swab than most of the generics have. I am one of those people who uses these to clean my ears, I know I shouldn't, and I find they work very well. As I mentioned, they have a good amount of stiffness so they don't immediately bend. Also, when you look at how many you get, I find them to be a good value.

Definitely not value for money. The sturdiness is lacking in other brands and that is the reason to buy this. Another point, many cotton swabs are manufactured from recycled material whereas this is made from virgin material.
