Seems good so far!!!
I got the 50' olive green one, and so far, so good. I think it's over priced, but I still like the fact that the quality seems to be there. I needed to replace my other green one, which had a hole in it from not opening the faucet enough during a freeze. Comparatively, this one has a tighter coil, but it may loosen up over time. I would recommend this hose!!!

Well-Made, Durable, Easy to Use and Store - Wonderful!
I began using this hose in Spring 2014. It's well constructed and has suffered no failures. I bought it as a secondary hose for my front yard, for watering the pots on my stoop and plants close to the hose, so I don't have to pull out the long heavy hose from the hose cart on the side of the house, nor have a short regular hose left awkwardly lying about the garden edges. It works great for this purpose. It is easily stored when not in use, due to the coil effect - just set it in a pile and done. There is a slight learning curve in getting used to the coils, and they have gotten a little twist in them on occasion, but that is easy to shake out. To use the hose with a sprinkler, the coils tend to pull the sprinkler out of the alignment from where I want it, so I just put a dutch-paver brick on a nearby coil, to hold the hose and sprinkler in place. Problem solved. The Espresso color is unobtrusive, so it doesn't distract nor detract from the garden beds. NOTE: As others mention, the coils keep the hose from extending it's full length, so you'll want to buy longer than what you need. I might have gotten by with a 25' regular hose, but bought the 50' coil to ensure it could reach as far as I needed it to. Also, the hose diameter is 3/8" so provides lower water pressure than a 1/2" or 5/8" diameter hose. While this is fine for my purposes of watering plants, it might not be as effective for other uses where more pressure is desired. What I Like:* light-weight and easy to use* doesn't kink - may get a twist but that easily shakes out* well-made, no failures in parts, durable* easy to store* espresso color is unobtrusiveWorth Noting:* the coils keep the hose from extending it's full length, get the next size up from what you think you need* hose diameter is 3/8" so will have provide lower water pressure than a 1/2" or 5/8" diameter hose - this may effect how you use the hose* you may need something to hold the hose in place when using with a sprinkler, and the coils tend to retract and pull the sprinkler out of alignment (a brick paver works for me)* my neighbor bought one of those "expandable" hoses at the same time I bought this - her hose burst after one season of use (common problem with those hoses), while mine is still in perfect condition.

Buy 2 to Get The Length You Need
This really is an excellent hose. It is well-made of quality materials, and I like the fact that it is drinking-water-safe. The connections at both ends are quite solid and do not leak at all (I use this hose with the Dramm 12380 Heavy-Duty Brass Adjustable Hose Nozzle at one end, and the Gilmour 13 Brass 2-Way Connector at the other). It is sturdy, DOES NOT KINK AT ALL, and recoils neatly to original size after use.I would have given it 5+ stars, except, as others have noted, it does NOT stretch fully to the advertised length. I bought the 50-foot version, and it stretches to perhaps 35 feet or so, when I use considerable force to extend and hold it. There is no way I could extend it, lay it on the ground, and leave it there with a sprinkler attached to water a certain area. It would pull back to a much shorter length.I had read the reviews, but bought the 50-foot hose anyway, as I thought it would stay stretched if I stood there and held it. It still falls a bit short for my needs. It is such a good quality product that instead of returning it, I bought a second hose to get the length I want and I am still quite happy with it. If you need 50 feet, I'd say buy two of these. If you want, say, 100 feet of length AND the ability to extend, place a sprinkler, and walk away, I'd suggest 3 100-foot hoses, or start with 2, and keep in mind you may end up needing 3.The hose was probably a true 50 feet before they did whatever they do to create the coils. Some of that length is then lost to the coils. I have read quite a few reviews of various coil-type hoses, made by different companies, and this seems to be the case with all of them. This is the trade-off for the no-kink feature.I cannot address the water pressure issue as I use the hose only to water plants. The pressure is more than sufficient. It seems "normal" (same as my old, cheap, crappy hose) to me.It really is a good, sturdy, well-made hose. If the length issue is taken into account, I think anyone should be happy with this hose. All things considered, I still give it 4 stars.
