Mike Hargrove and the Cleveland Indians: A Baseball Life

I really enjoyed this book, I don't think you have to be a fan of the Cleveland Indians to really like it. It really gives you insight into the life of a successful baseball player/manager. Very well written.

I bought two as a gift for each of my sons who grew up during the Hargrove coaching era. Before I sent the gift to my one son, I read it and it was very entertaining, personable and enjoyable. Mike and his wife Sharon are a true blue baseball family and I'm very proud the they (because Sharon was his largest supporter throughout his career) were at the helm of my beloved Cleveland team.

Great book on Mike Hargrove. It let me understand the Jose Mesa debacle a little better and forgive him for that piece of Indians history. Good man, player and coach. Great read for any Indians fan!

I got this for my dad who is an avid baseball fan. He was really impressed with how the author dug into Mike’s background as well as his wife’s accomplishments, not just his time with the Indians but that as well of course. Great gift for the sports/baseball fan who has everything.

Real “true to life” story. If you love baseball, you will love the behind the scenes stories. I would highly recommend.

excellent story for indians fans or just baseball fans

Being an Indians fan it was good to review some good memories. Well written but still thinks he should have not brought in Mesa in the ninth inning of 1997 World Series.
