ONE OF THE BEST CUBES ON THE MARKET!
Awesome cube! I just received it today, so I haven't "broken" the cube in, but oh wells. Excellent first impressions. Stock out of the box, it was factory-lubricated with a pretty high viscosity lube. It had a scratchy feel to the cube, very loose (But surprisingly impossible to pop when solving, just jiggly). So as a casual cuber, i lubed it with Team Associated 40 Weight Lube (Highly recommend it, high volume for a very low cost) and it was wonderful, BTW I used CrazyBadCuber's "Fangshi ShuangRen Assembly" Video. It still retains its scratchy feel, I mean it's not annoying, but without it, I'm pretty sure it would be a bit better. It sometimes overshoots, resulting in lockups, but you can solve that by tensioning the cube more. The cube can corner cut to about 45 degrees regular and around half a cubie on reverse, so excellent and when it can't corner cut, it NEVER pops, unless you force it with ALOT of force. The mechanism was cool to work around with when i assembled and disassembled it, but when you take the edge caps off, I had problems. But it's just probably my cube, several of the caps' prongs fell off that would ordinarily attach to the body of the piece. I put a mail-opener tool and pushed it out of the hole in the edge body. But that means it was a tight fit, so if you're not doing anything to it, like modding, it shouldn't be a problem, but if you are, just be careful. That's not really a con. This is my first FUNs puzzle, and I highly recommend it. It has a nice feeling and is very fast.

Pleasantly Surprised
I ordered this cube just because the picture on Amazon makes it look pretty cool. It doesn't look as good in person as it does in the picture. It has a 'cheap' sort of look to it. And at first touch it feels cheap too. It is also very light and the corners twist quite easily. My initial impression was that this is a cheap toy. However, after playing around with it for awhile, I have to admit that I really like this cube. It is super fast and one easy flick will get you a 180 degree turn which improves my solve time a lot. The corner cutting is excellent as well with around a 45 degree reverse cut and a little more than that for a forward cut. I didn't have to lube it at all and the tension it came as is a perfect fit for me. Not too tight and not too loose. It took me awhile to adjust to the weight of the cube though. It is almost weightless, a very light cube. But once I got the hang of it that didn't bother me anymore. So in spite of the fact that it looks and feels like a cheap toy, it is actually a great cube and really good for practicing speed solving. I gave it 5 stars because it is a lot more fun to solve than I thought it would be. I will recommend it.

Simply amazing. As a rough seasoned intermediate cuber
Over the years I have tried many different cubes, but have always gone back to the shuangren as my main. Its such a crisp and satisfying cube, the scratchy feel and sound gets me every time, bringing me back to the old days of the A5, albeit without the crazy popping. This cube has popped on my once. Once in 3 years, and even then it was because I was trying it out on a looser tension. Simply amazing. As a rough seasoned intermediate cuber, this thing is perfect. I average 19 using beginners f2l and 2 look. Yes this cube needs breaking to corner cut well as it has difficulty cutting over 45 from stock, but after breaking in, this thing will destroy your zhanchi. My averages on other cubes (over time, all beginners f2l & 2 look): Alpha 3: 26.57 Alpha 5: 26.43 Type C: 25.64 Shengen f2: 25.63 Guhong: 22.63 Lunhui: 22.61 Zhanchi: 21.32 Shuangren: 19.87 As of now I only actually own the Zhanchi and the Shuangren. My Zhanchi average is affected by the rather frequent popping, as I am a very rough cuber.

Small and loose
OK, so the 'small' part is my fault, I accidentally bought the 5.46 instead of the 5.7 cm. Its just slightly smaller than the regular rubik's cube. For someone with small hands this would be good. Its very loose, which is great for cutting corners, but makes lining up a side difficult for the next move. If you are fast (kind of the point of a speedcube), then its easy to overshoot the alignment and accidentally perform a turn you weren't intending. Perhaps with practice on this cube I would be able to control it better. During a long algorithm, its easy to lose track of where you are because the cube is twisting in ways you don't want. I've had to re-solve the entire cube from the beginning multiple times because the puzzle becomes unstable in your hands when you are turning fast. Some might like this looseness and I only took one star off as it is good quality and the price is right. Perhaps there is a way to tighten it up, I'll look into that. I think I will likely give this one to a kid. They'll love it. Seems hard to pop btw, despite the looseness.

The turning is amazing, and I absolutely love the fast and scratchy ...
Phenomenal! The turning is amazing, and I absolutely love the fast and scratchy feel of the puzzle. If you are used to stickerless cubes like I am, then the recognition of the somewhat dull sticker shades might be difficult. On my stickerless mini Aolong, I get averages of around 17-18 seconds, and on this, I only get 27-28 seconds. However, I have no doubt that if I get used to the colors and the ridiculously fast turning speeds, I would be able to get down to at least a 15 second average in a few weeks. The black piece caps on the primary plastic body look amazing, and the stickers are not as bad as I thought they would be. Maybe its just me, but the stickers on my cube are quite substantial and are holding up well. If you have a heavy lubricant, such as Lubix or Traxxas 50k, don't lube the pieces, only lube the core. It is very hard to not overlube the pieces, and a bit of lube in the core is enough to speed it up. Additionally, I am making this my main instead of the mini Aolong. Although this corner cuts less by about 10 to 20 degrees in either direction, I feel that the faster turning and phenomenal feeling of the cube make up for it, not to mention that this does not pop on tight to moderate tensions and rarely does on loose tensions. My Shuang Ren is on quite tight tensions, with only around 4-5 millimeters of leeway per center piece. It is still insanely fast, and so far, I am LOVING the cube. This blows any cube I've tried out of the water, be it a Zhanchi, Guhong, Weilong, or Aolong. It completely deserves 5 stars!

Great Cube
Great cube; would buy again in a heartbeat! Some notes: 1) The action is very loose, but also precise. That is, the torque is very even across all faces and degrees of rotation. 2) The smaller cube is much friendlier on small hands like mine. 3) The degree of corner rounding is good both on the inside and the outside. Feels pleasant and never snags. 4) Easy to realign during solving with gentle pressure to the faces. 5) The colors are nice; distinctive but not weird. One thing however: this cube rewards a light touch and good precision. It's more like driving a sports car than a monster truck. Treat it well and it will treat you well.

Not my favorite, but it's ok
There is definitely a break in period with this cube. It was also the only cube I've purchased so far (I'm still very new to the world of puzzle cubes) that had flash (plastic left over from the molding process) that had to be filed off in order for the cube to turn smoothly. I think the design of this cube is brilliant. The pieces interlock really well. It has never popped on me. The design makes the puzzle feel loose, but the pieces are secure. It can be a little difficult for me (a beginner) to control. From time to time, my fingers slip and turn a face that I didn't mean to turn. The plastic seems a bit cheap to me. At first it feels really scratchy. It reminds me of the plastic used for milk jugs here in the US. I would love to see this design with a plastic like the New Island stickerless cube. I've seen other reviews on YouTube for this product from more experienced (and much faster) cubers. They tend to like it.

Highly recommend for speed cubers.
TL;DR: DO try this cube if you are a speed cuber. I have used ~10 cubes over the years, and this is so far my favorite. I initially discovered this cube while watching this youtube video about PLL([...]) and decide to try this brand. This cube is NOT the model in the video: it is slightly smaller (54mm each side vs 57mm regular), and lighter as well. Pros: (1) Looks good! (2) Very smooth and great corner cutting capability due to its special internal design. (3) Has not popped even once after some intense solving. (4) It comes perfectly lubricated and the center screws are well adjusted. Cons: (1) Some pieces were not cleanly cut off the sprue when they were manufactured: small plastic residues on the corner of some pieces may hurt your hand when speed solving. I used a nail file to polish those corner pieces and it's good after that. (2) It's not that easy to adjust the center screw (luckily the tension is fine for me). That being said, I recommend trying this cube if you are a speed cuber.
