It is unlike a dye that turns your hair black like just for men or other dyes you have to wash out before yiur hair looks horribly black. Use the foam. When you use it just put all the foam on your hair. It is so moderate you can't tell the first app. Let it dry. Then put more on. Gradually it will turn your hair slowly darker. Don't be afraid. I put it on at night while watching tv. It will not color your hands or your pillows. It had a slight Oder but not that anyone but you will notice. My hair is white now naturally. But with this it is just the color I like. Even my barber had no idea. No on will know except your hair will just gradually be darker. I'm impatient so if I wait 3 weeks my sideburns start to turn white so I put application after application on during the day and while watching tv. Your hair will keep the color but gradually start to turn grey or white. Just use as much as you like. The lead in the product is not enough to harm you. I do wish my hands and don't let it drip in my mouth or eyes even though it doesn't burn. If you have any questions or not sure just ask. I'm almost 70 and have used this since 60. You will be happy. I do use just for men on brows. The beard formula. But do not leave that in for more than two min. It will turn your hair black before you know it. I finally just decided to shave my scalp to get rid of the gray. Two months ago I let my hair grow back and it was snow white. I ordered this three foam bottle set. It arrived on 13 September this year. I started it immediately and followed directions but put a little extra on my hair. I could not believe how fast it worked. A subtle change but noticeable after five days. I am still on the first bottle and it feels heavy enough that I think I have at least two more weeks left.Update on Oct 27, 2016. Still on first bottle with daily use. My hair is much darker. Yes, still gray but a darker gray. Will cut down my use of it now. Bottle still has enough for maybe another week or so.Update on April 24. 2017. I have just finished my 2nd of the three cans yesterday! But this is because I limited my use to about twice a week. For me, that is enough since I only wanted to maintain the darkness I have, which is not much but better than snow white. I do have one criticism, but not enough to lower my 5 star rating. It does make the hair feel dried out and itchy. This may be because I have to limit my shampoos by half to keep the "tint" in. I believe hair conditioner will also lower the darkening? This is not a dye. If you get it on the sink or hands it doesn't color them. Not like Just For Men that turns ur hair black.This works on the molecules of your hair and slowly in about 3 days you will notice it changing to a shade darker. My hair is white. With this it is now a nice color of light dark not white. You can put it on 3 times a day until you get the color you desire. Don't worry your hair won't be black.
