Toshiba 12000 BTU (8,000 BTU, DOE) 115-Volt Portable Air Conditioner with Dehumidifier and Remote Control RAC-PD1211CRU (Renewed)

This unit is ideal for a bedroom. I was worried about the noise level after reading other reviews but mine is very quiet while throwing out lots of cold air. The vent is well designed. My only issue (We are senior citizens) was carrying the unit up a flight of stairs.

This replaced my window unit. I vented it thru my wall and its much easier to put away now. I'm going to try the heat part soon, fingers crossed.

I bought this larger model because I had bought the smaller version from Home Depot and it really worked well. I wanted it for a larger room. But I was unclear if I had to use the dehumidifier feature as I live in a very dry and hot climate and only need the cooler. The Home Depot smaller version and this one work about the same. I didn't notice any difference in the cooling capacity. No real difference except that this one collects water! I saw it listing to one side and thought it had broken a wheel. When I tipped it over water came out! This didn't happen with the other one. I called Toshiba thinking they could help because the manual did not answer the question about it collecting water, but the young lady who answered knew less than I! I can read, and I'm good at instructions, but there is nothing to indicate that I MUST use the humidifier feature. I'm very disappointed and would return this if I hadn't thrown away the box. At least I can return the other one to home depot without the box except I haven't had the same problem. I took the risk but it cost me hundreds of dollars!

The remote control feature for the AC unit is fantastic. You can power it on or off from any location through the app. Moreover, the app offers the capability to set schedules for turning the unit on and off. This outstanding feature deserves mention in the product listing. Additionally, it's compatible with the Alexa app.The noise level is quite loud, so I am giving it a 3 star as "good".

Our SoCal apartment does not have any AC so we needed a little unit for when the Santa Ana’s roll in…This thing works like a charm!! We have it hooked up to our window (we needed to add extra extensions in the window because our window is so tall) but it really works in cooling down our room and fairly fast, too.For reference: our bedroom went from the mid 80s down to 68 degrees with this unit.Our friends have the same one and kept theirs in the kitchen, ran it during the day and it kept their kitchen and living room area cool.Highly recommend this little AC unit.

It does not work for my RV

Llego antes del tiempo estipulado. Súper. Si, enfría increíble, en si me encantó pero (siempre hay un pero) si hace mucho ruido. De ahí en fuera, el aparato excelenteAhora, el vendedor no me ha enviado la factura. Ya tiene todo lo que me solicitó y no he recibido respuesta.
