Excellent craftsmanship. Surface was nicely finished and dimensions were exact.

Packaged well enough.Some surface damage but very minor from shipping.The finish is not bad, but I would recommend giving it a sanding.Drilled well enough to mount to a benchtop, slight warping, but not enough to be a problem for utility use.I sealed with with Tung oil and that seemed to work well.It looks nice and feels solid, highly recommend for utility or work bench.

I am using this butcher-block slab (24 x 48 inches by 1 inch thick) as a "desk top" that I am mounting on top of a pair of small rolling file cabinets, with wooden brackets that I mounted onto the "bottom."This slab of hard maple butcher block was carefully packed (but easy to unpack) and arrived undamaged. it's top quality, and although it's expensive (like most hardwoods these days), it is a great value. Because I am using it as a desk top, I opted for coating the top side with polyurethane instead of mineral oil treatment. The top was already pretty smooth but I just sanded it with 220 grit and 320 grit and then vacuumed and tack-clothed the top before applying the polyurethane.

I’d been on the fence for months about swapping out a glass top to a butcher block top and looked everywhere locally first. Similar options were more expensive. This one couldn’t be more perfect, beautiful quality wood, thick and sturdy.

I purchased 2. One by accident. The first one I opened was not very precisely made. It had wood filler sinking because the depth of the void would have required 2 applications of filler. I looked into retuning and restocking fees are significant. I understand they spent a lot of money shipping them. I decided to keep it for future use. I opened the second box and saw a much higher quality slab.Both needed finish sanding. That's not a big deal. For the price you can't make them yourself for less money.

I used this as a lid for 5 1/2 freezer in my apartment. I had thought to cut it down, but I decided to try it full size. It worked perfectly. It is heavy, but when the lid of the freezer is all the way up, I had to hook it to the wall to support it. The butcher block came very well boxed, and in perfect shape, without blemishes or flaws; it absorbed a good deal of mineral oil treatment (about 12 oz). I paid $123 for this butcher block counter top, and consider the quality outstanding, and the price reasonable. I had thought that the overhang at the ends would need to be reinforced from below; but it is well enough constructed that there is no danger of splitting. I now have four feet more of counter space just outside of my small apartment kitchen. I could not be more pleased with this product.

This is a great 30" by 48" 1 inch thick chopping block table top. I've added it to the top of an existing workbench to strengthen the work bench. It's a good thing I'm only using it for a work bench and not for a kitchen where everyone might see it. The table top was delivered in a card board box that looked like it had been dropped from the back of a truck two or three times. One corner of the table top was significantly scratched and dented. When I received the product, the box wasn't even closed...the top was gone. In sum, I love the product. Just wish Amazon could be more careful about packaging and delivery.

Very nice, sturdy, well finished. It looks great in my camper.
