Great razor knife!
This is now my favorite razor knife, by far. I've been getting into wood carving lately, and I like using razor knives with replaceable blades for their sharpness and ability to carve intricate details. I've bought probably a dozen different razor blade holders/knives over the years and never been truly pleased with any of them, until now. This one is designed as close to perfect as I could want. The blade attachment/removal knob is on the opposite end from the blade, and holds very tightly. Every other one I own will allow the blade to move if I put very much pressure at all on it. Not this one. It will accept any standard exacto/scalpel blade, and allows for a very quick replacement once the blade gets dull. I will definitely be getting several more so I can have different styles and sizes of blades loaded and ready at all times. I highly recommend this knife, as I do anything made by Fiskars. Everything I've bought from them has been very high quality and durable.

Love the product hate the color
I have another one of these Fiskars softgrip craft knives, but it is purple. I was looking for the same model but guess they no longer make it in that color. I love Fiskar products but hate the orange color. I wish they would change this up because it just doesn't go with anything and you don't want to leave the items out on a desk. Scissors, knives, etc. I think they need to offer a more decorator friendly color. Great knife otherwise. The grip is perfect and easy on your hands. The top cap is also nice and clicks on.

My second exact design
I love this craft knife. I've mostly used it in my photography business when I'm framing photos or trimming photos for mattes. I especially like the soft grip outside. Where this differs from other knives, though (and the reason I now own two of these) is the flat top. It's perfect to place your finger on the top to produce pressure and it won't roll on you. Such a small detail, yet so important. Well made, well designed. Glad I got bees wax on my first one and had to order another! It's the best I've used by far.

A welcome change to the standard shape, one issue.
Very nice little knife, a welcome change to the standard cylinder shapes. It’s comfortable to use and grip in a variety of positions. Very comfy to use. The blade locks up solid and there’s no movement when locked in. So for the issue, locking the blade in. As I saw another reviewer posted, it can be tricky. Now the blade locks in by turning the knurled knob at the bottom. If it is loose enough to replace a blade, then the whole inner cylinder spins from the knob to the blade clamp. Now you can just twist it, hold the orange part of the handle, and it will start to clamp on the blade, but it starts to turn as you clamp down hard. So when it’s locked in it’s final tight position, the blade is off to the left. Which on a regular round handle wouldn’t be an issue, but on this one it is. So what’s the fix? Hold on to the blade to keep it centered….. which is a terrible idea. I messed around with it for a little bit and it was aggravating getting it straight. So I tried holding the blade with pliers, and that worked, but I don’t want to snap the blade or have to use pliers every time I want to change a blade. I found the easiest way was to rest the flat of the blade on a table, hold the orange handle and twist with my other hand. Worked well and no chance of injury. See photos for example. So overall 4 stars. After sussing that out I’m very happy with it. That part could have been designed better, but it would probably end up being more expensive haha. It’s very comfy to use and won’t roll away as you’re using it.

The perfect craft/exacto knife
I’m so happy I could buy this one from Amazon. In Norway we only have the Fiskars craft knife without blades that can be changed/replaced. So I love this opportunity. The craft knife is very sharp and the handle makes it so easy and comfortable to use. I love it and use it a lot.

Great, but If you intend to use it to carve wood....
....then don't bother. I did and it didn't last more than 20 minutes, the alumin(i)um threads inside couldn't take it. I'm still giving it five stars because if used for its intended purpose (cutting paper and such) this is a good tool, well designed, the orange rubber grip is great, it prevents it from rolling off the table and from turning in your hand, makes it much better than just having a regular round handle. Once it was finished I actually took the rubber grip off of it, drilled the opening in it slightly bigger and now I'm using it on a regular exacto knife that can take the abuse. To me it was worth the price just for the rubber grip.

Stays Right Where You Put It!!!
That, I must say, is why I bought this knife and it's major advantage over the generic or xacto knives with round handles. I use this knife at work, where I build electronic devices.and my work station is not perfectly level. Any round handled too(or part for that matter)l wants to roll off and it is frustrating and time consuming to have to go poking around to retrieve them. So this is a great solution. Also, the handle is very comfortable to use and the cap is well designed and stays on solidly(although I don't use it regularly myself) I have always enjoyed the high quality of Fiskars products and this one is no different. I would unreservedly recommend it to anyone, especially if they have an uneven work surface!

Blade cannot be tighten and it dropped off. There is something seriously flawed with the internal design on the tightening mechanism. The only good the rubber grip was so nice to hold. I don't even feel like contacting customer service and sending this hazard item back as the blade keep dropping off. There goes my $13 down the drain. And I think the product should be recalled.

Love it! I purchased the inexpensive replacement blades and they work great for pennies compared to what the Fiskars cost.

I thought the handle would help relieve the pressure on your fingers when cutting but its too thick and the no matter how tight you turn the screw on the back to hold the blade in place it still moves. Disappointing buy!!!
