Bokashi Compost Kit-Base Model

It was ok for some time, but eventually the spout started leaking or would start twisting off instead of opening/closing. I had one of a different male and had no issues, but having the issues with the spout and not being able to drain the box made it subpar.

My bin is just not working. The bin is great, it hold so many food scraps but mine does not working for weeks and months. I don't even understand how they are not spoiled for that long. Faucet did not open or close, meaning it did not stop at one point. It kept turning, and now the juice from the bin is leaking. I left it at a spot where it can get tons of sun so it goes spoil faster. But man, I was so excited about this bin, but very disappointing.

Does not smell bad. You can put an amazing amount of waste into it.

The kit comes with everything you need to get strarted. My fermented scraps will be buried in the next few days. The bin itself is fine, no issues; thick plastic and my hounds don't even really bother it. The spigot, however, does leak. It was fine for the first few weeks od draining the tea, but then one day, it's like the treads were stripped b/c my spigot turns all the way around in whichever direction I'm going I've had to also try to stop the leak from going onto the floor. ....Now, the hounds are very interested as there is enough of a leak to cause a dry streak of tea to run down to the bottom of the bucket each time I drain it. *You will definitely want 2 bins to start unless you have a plan for storing your scraps once this bin is full and left to ferment on its own for 2-3 wks. My second bin is a DIY of two 5 gallon buckets, a tight lid, and a spigot all from the local hardware store.

This thing did not work for me. It smelled terrible. I used plenty of bran and left it undesturbed for over a month. It was just moldy, not composted. The spout didn’t seal for me and is too high off to drain the liquid. I threw the whole thing away along with my shoes and clothes after opening it.

I love this, it is so easy and my trash has decreased so much that I have only one bag every two weeks. It does not smell and the compost juice is great to use every week and I just mulched my flowers with my first bucket of compost. This is a nice experience easy alternative to a big outside composter.

It was a Christmas present

This works great. I've already finished my first batch, and it only took about 3 months. The juice is great for the pipes, as well.
