My wife and I have used Birkenstock shoes for almost 40 years. Today I received the WRONG size for my wife for the first time ever!Why? Because your website, pandering to what you think are apparently dumb Americans, puts American sizes on European shoes!My wife has used a size 40 forever. Trying to make sense of the useless sizing chart on the Amazon website, I ordered 42s, believing they were 40s!ANYONE that wears Birks for work can guarantee that they use the European measuring system because it is more accurate and unambiguous.A size 40 is a a size 40, not possibly a 41 or 42.This accuracy is crucial with birkenstocks because of the large arch support and the toe bar on the foot bed. These two item MUST BE IN THE CORRECT LOCATION to be everything these shoes are for people on their feet 12 to 16 hours at a time!This is one specific instance where Amazon has FAILED to do their customers proper due diligence!For heavens sake, Amazon, go to Birkenstock's own website and copy their sizing chart! And, leave out the UK sizes unless specifically requested.Their metric sizing with the correlating US size is all that is needed!!!This would completely avoid whether the shoe is a man's 7.5 or a woman's 9.5!!!The man OR woman would know they wear a size 40 Birk. End of story, no confusion!

I've had older models of non-sandal Birkenstocks for many many years (under the older line names as well as Birkenstock. As my work-from-home adventure continued into winter, I realized my sandals wouldn't do with the rain and cooler temps so I looked for shoes that would be as comfortable. I found the Linz and gave it a try and now I wish I'd found them years ago. they're fantastic and the sole is what makes them super fab. it's not your normal Birk sole, it's more like a sneaker. and I love the velcro instead of a buckle. easy enough to slide on in a hurry. Really great shoes!

I purchased these in March, I work long hours in a kitchen and Birkenstocks are my go to for comfort. last week July 20th or so I heard a squishing sound kind of like a wet sponge. I though okay my shoes are wet no biggie I will dry them out tonight. Then I looked at the sole on both shoes. I'll be darned both of them are split and the toe is coming unglued as well. I am bummed usually I get a solid 2 years out of these shoes. I guess I am out some $$.

Great fit, I’m a nurse who lives in my Birkenstock sandals when I’m at home. I wanted a shoe that I could wear to work, this was a great alternative. I don’t love them as much as my sandals, but they’re great for work. These will definitely stay in my shoe rotation.

You get what you paid for. Super comfortable. Working 12hr on my feet 5 days a week. Just what I was looking for.I had de Boston super grip before but as a chef I prefer this ones because they are closed. Supper happy with my purchase. Would definitely buy them again

These shoes are super versatile. I can dress them up or dress them down, wear them with socks, or no socks. They are a little on the large side but when I wear socks it’s no issue. When I wear them with no socks, they are spacious enough that my feet can breathe but I don’t get blisters. I feels like these shoes are timeless and they will stay in good shape with a lot of wear.

As a chef I’m on my feet all day. Very comfortable and get support. I’ve always loved Birkenstock’s in the kitchen. Full foot covering helps keep feet dry. Non-slip works great.

The velcro strap is easier to adjust and tighten along with being quicker. The sole has a better grip and the space in the leather upper which is not fully connected is smaller than the London so is better around water or rain. have worn (and totally worn out) Birkenstock sandals 'n shoes for over 40 years, these are the best.

Brilliant but very big size . Very wide.

i love the moulded soles they really help support my feet however the toe part is really shallow . shoes come up big.

Da die Schuhe sehr günstig waren habe ich in 2018 ein Paar gekauft und dann im Januar 2019 direkt 2 Paar. Die anderen beiden hatte ich nun entsorgt da ich die Schuhe fast täglich trage und die Sohle abgelaufen war. Nun also das dritte Paar aus der Verpackung geholt. Ganze 3 Wochen habe ich die Schuhe getragen. Heute dann löste sich die Sohle am Zeh komplett vom Leder. Na toll - das war dann das Montags produzierte Teil. Leider ist die Gewährleistungsfrist abgelaufen - man sollte nie auf Vorrat kaufen - denn es wäre eindeutig eine Mängel-Reklamation geworden.

Took maybe a day or two to break in for me as I have had birks before but they are wonderful I walk in them for 12-16 hours a day and don’t have any feet or back pain very comfy and easily to clean! Super fast shipping!
