Helpful, thorough
I liked the description of hides: one dry and one humid. That was helpful. I did not know vivariums were a thing. I wouldn’t do it, now, but it might be neat to try someday. I like that it talks about laws dealing with snakes and about how important it is not to disrupt ecosystems. It was longer than necessary. The last chapters about blogs or YouTube weren’t relevant for me.

Incorrect information
At first the book seems to be well put together and with useful information. Unfortunately I encountered a good bit of information that's incorrect or not even close to being correct which is pretty bad for someone who would be trying to know more about species. First wrong info I saw was the lifespan, book mentions 6-8 which might be true in the wild but not at all in captivity when their lifespan can be well over 20 years. Also size information is incorrect as it's females that are bigger not males. Could go on more but as an experienced corn snake (and not only corn) owner and a breeder I really can not recommend that book. Don't get me wrong, there are accurate bits of information but I don't think it would be good base of information to get someone started, unless it's just for a child if they're curious, half of the pictures in the book are not even of corn snakes as you would expect the specific book to be full of specific and accurate pictures.
