Baby Up, Baby Down: A First Book of Opposites (Baby Loves Books)

My son is just about to turn 2 and really likes this book! He reads it to me now (from memory) and loves to see real pictures of kids. Definitely a great book for babies and toddlers!

My baby is obsessed with this really simple book! She’s at the age where her favorite type of picture books are sones with imagines of real babies. This book is cute and includes lots of facial expressions and simple adjectives.

My son loves books with color photos of children. This book is a hit with him! Simple but cute. Always holds his attention.

This is a great book for 0-2 year olds. My toddler has loved looking at the pictures and talking about what the babies are doing. I will say, though, that this isn’t the highest quality board book you’ll ever find; it’s already showing some wear and tear after only a month of having it. But overall, it’s a great way to introduce familiar opposites and has very clear pictures.

Simple beautiful book. The pictures are very inviting and attention catching for kids. Overall a great first book. I think it was on sale when I bought it so I got two. The first one got destroyed after a few months of toddler use, but overall worth the price for $5 a piece.

This book is cute. Short sweet and to the point. I wish it was a little longer but it is definitely appropriate for the 1 to 3 year old age range. My biggest complaint is that the pages are very thin. It is advertised as a board book, but it is definitely not nearly as thick as every other board book that we have. the book is very friable and easily bends even when I’m turning the pages. I probably wouldn’t buy another book from this publisher or author.

This book was exactly what I was looking for to introduce the concept of opposites to my 2-year-old. The real-life photos are a big plus – they make it easier for little ones to understand and relate to everyday concepts like wet/dry, clean/dirty, and quiet/loud. – Clear layout and simple text – Great visual cues for early language development – Durable pages, toddler-proof! It’s ideal for toddlers aged 1.5 to 3 who are beginning to explore language and understand basic comparisons. We now use it as part of our daily story time, and my child already points out opposites in real life. Highly recommended as a first educational book for toddlers learning through pictures and play.

This was one of my son’s favourite books from 6-12 months. The real photographs of babies seem to keep attention and the opposites theme is cute.

My 13months old loves this book so much and every time before even open the book he put his hands up to show "Baby is up" so cute!!! Highly recommended!!

Interesting for kids 1 to two years old.

Love this book and have bought the other 2 in the series. Baby loves seeing the real photos of the babies and we read it over and over. I love that the babies in the book are the same as the ones in the baby favourites book too.
