Use subscription service
The product is a standard refrigerator water filter. However, it is easy to miss the replacement date as you do not catch the month counter all the time. Using the subscription service eliminates the guess work as the product shows up every six months. The filter works as described. Price is fair. Best to automate delivery of filters.

I learned my lesson trying to be cheap last time, with an aftermarket water filter. So this time I bought the brand name and surprise!! It fits perfectly; no funny taste, and NO LEAKS! 🥳🥳🥳 With that being said, there's no replacement for quality filters, it's compatibility was flawless, it popped right in. The water tastes great now and I couldn't be happier. So do yourself a favor and buy the brand name. You can thank me later!!

Good filter, contradictory directions
The filter is fine; we have to replace our fridge filter every 6 months. It’s not cheap, but ordering from Amazon is convenient. The paper insert has faulty directions for removing and installing. The direction is incorrect on the paper, so follow the label on the filter itself.

Desde que compré la nevera nunca había cambiado el filtro, entre otras cosas porque no solemos beber del agua que da la nevera directamente, pero como los niños si que la utilizan, me planteé la sustitución del mismo. No es algo que puedas encontrar en la tienda de la esquina, por lo que busqué en Amazón y justo estaba este filtro que es igual al que venía de origen. La sustitución del filtro es muy sencilla y ya está instalado para los próximos 12 meses. Cuando caduque compraré otro igual. Encontré otros un poco más caros, pero éste es el que me va, y además de la marca original de la nevera.

Got this filter for my side by side LG refrigerator when it was time to replace the original one. It is exactly the same part, not an aftermarket cheap one (not that all aftermarket are cheap, but it's sometimes hard to differentiate on the web). No issues at all, still have great tasting water. For this price, nobody should go without a filter, it makes a big difference, even if our city water is pretty good here, but it does remove the chlorine odour that we have sometimes after a peak demand period. Amazon price for this is much cheaper than what the appliance stores charge. I just bought my second one to have on hand when my 6 months are out, as they are not always in stock.
