Worked great! Parts were good and tight fitting. Belt was tight but it fir perfect. Sevral.washes and no problems.

This part was a clutch for a whirlpool washing machine that would not spin or cycle because the clutch teeth were completely worn and broken. It took about 20 minutes to repair. Was about to junk the washing machine and buy a whole new machine. Parts were all of excellent quality and fit perfectly.

I used this kit to replace the clutch on my Whirlpool WTW4955HW2. The Drive Pulley and the Basket Drive Gear were the parts that were worn out and needed replacing. I gave this kit four stars because both of those parts fit. However, the belt in the kit was way too small to fit, so I had to use the old belt. The supplied Cam Ring was too big to rotate inside the supplied Splutch Housing, so I had to use the old Cam Ring. As another reviewer noted, the old spring has one more loop than the new spring and may be stiffer, so I reused the old spring. Remember to have some silicone lubricant on hand to lubricate the clutch gear when you install it.

We have a 5 year old Amana top-load washer which had a horrible screeching sound when washing, so I figured it was a worn-out splutch. Well, it was, but itbwas also a faulty transmission. After sourcing a new take-off transmission for a steal, I replaced it and installed the new splutch. Same horrible screeching sounce and wear on the splutch, so it was time to replace the splutch again...after 3 washes!?!?! This one did the trick. There was no difference to the eyes, but I had to actually make sure it was washing because it was so quiet. I can't say how durable this kit will be, but I am happy!

The parts didn't fit well but I was able to use some of the original parts to complete a new assembly. After replacing gears and the shifter assembly every year at most, I finally gave up on our Maytag washer and replaced it. Problem solved. The outer housing that mates with the mounting slots in the washer are molded too thick. I used the original a few times and once filed the mounting tabs to fit. Also, the shift lever that raises the drum when engaged is too wide to seat properly. I used the original Maytag part in that position. However, the new gear failed at the spline and resulted in binding in the engaged position. I don't recommend this kit.

I was worried about having to buy a whole new washer when I started smelling burnt rubber after using mine. Found this kit after watching a DIY repair video - really just needed the belt, I thought, but the value on the kit, figured it was worth it for "down the road" - went ahead and replaced the wheel and belt - washer is working like new! Was very much worth the price and was able to fix without calling a repairman!

If the parts were the correct size, this would be the perfect kit. The splutch matched the OEM part and was easy to install. The pulley was larger than the OEM one that came on our washing machine. It was too larger to use with the belt that came on the washer (I.e. the belt was too small to get on the pulley). The new belt that came with this kit was too small to work with either the OEM Polly or the on that came in this kit. I ended up using the original OEM Polly and belt to finish assembling the washer. Overall, decent quality but not all of the parts are the right size. Would not buy again.
