This item is very sturdy and well made, and fits CJ / National trust feeders with a screw thread underneath. Pigeons can sit on it without breaking it. It is bigger than a lot of other feeder trays we've used. So why have I rated it badly? The problem is that almost the entire thing is gently sloping. So even though the tray is wider than most other similar ones, the food can only really sit right out at the edge part, which has a small trough. So you end up with nothing on the tray sloping part, and a ring of food around the edge. So when seeds get spilled, the simply slide down the flat-cone shaped tray, skim across the top of the food filling the trough (which fills almost immediately), and bounce straight onto the floor. We have noticed that all of a sudden, since we switched to these trays (to stop food spilling and attracting mice), we have just as much food on the floor under the tray, as in the tray itself. Very poor design. Why not just make it flat, with a deep rim?
