Attaches perfectly with newly released Thunderjet bodies as well as the bodies from the late 60's. I had to realign the brushes as the wheels would not turn as received. I am very pleased with the operation and performance.

Great! Fits right on my older bodies! Fast too! Has the pop out magnet (if you want to - I do!) too. And the price is right as well!

My commercial track looks down their nose at these cars and they do not host races using these. Primarily becuase they dont have wheel bearings and aren't very tuneable? Thats ok..I got this to experiment fixing some old seized up AFX cars from the 60s I was given. They do that well.

Next best thing to original Aurora chassis

Let's face it, the T-Jet series (early 1960s) was the best before it all went too wild with this creation's export overseas. The T-Jet chassis and components originally came from New York, but the whole idea and manufacturing of this model was outsourced, you guessed it, to Asia. Then, from there, the fun, and the eventually the quality of this product, quietly died and went away. This is the closest thing that I have found to the original Thunder-Jet design. It's close, and comes closest to winning the cigar. These are tough to find these days, and there are expensive original items or replicas on eBay, but who wants to go there? For this price, this is the best that we all can do for 2023 (almost 2024), considering and adjusting for inflation since 1963, etc. So, I recommend this somewhat original design of this Aurora Model Motoring "clone." You can't seem to get any closer. Happy Model Motoring!
