Magical Fairies of Molly Harrison: Flower Fairies and Celestial Fairies

25 Beautiful and Graceful Fairy Designs
The media could not be loaded. Β This is a lovely coloring book by Molly Harrison which includes 25 hand-drawn designs of a variety of subjects. The line drawings are generally complex and somewhat intricate to color. Some of my other designs by Ms. Harrison include both elegant and younger, cute style designs. This book focuses on the elegant and beautiful adult fairy. I have several coloring books by this designer and am enjoying all of them. I look forward to more of her books in the future. The designs are all surrounded by a simple line frame. I really like this because, should I choose to color the background, it will limit the amount of area I will need to color to finish the book of the design. Saves me time and pencil/ink.The paper is thin enough that my gel pens and markers bleed through to the backside. On the plus side, the paper is quite white and the designs are printed on only one side of the sheet (with the bank left blank.) While the sheets are not perforated, it should be easy to remove the page with a pen knife or to put a piece of heavier paper under the page you are working on so your colors won't leak through to the next design.

Lovely book of fairies for grown up coloring!
This coloring book provides an opportunity to play with skin color and I brought out the glitter pens for sparkly wings! Despite being a book of fairies, they are grown up looking and are fun to color. I chose to use my Lyra polycolor pencils for this book so far and have been happy with it. The drawings are not as complex as Johanna Basford, but very enjoyable to color and I can finish them in a shower timeframe when I'm not in the mood for a long several day coloring session as it can take with Secret Garden or her other books. I also enjoy that the designs aren't as intricate, allowing me more room to blend colors. The designs in this book are on one side and the paper is nice. Not as thick as Secret Garden but still very nice paper and the pencils do well on the surface.Overall I am happy with the book and look forward to finishing more of the color pages in the future!

Awesomeness in a delightful package.
This beautiful book really caught my eye; I HAD to have it!The beautiful images, printed on a heavier stock than regular paper, are printed on only one side. Making the page, once finished, easy to remove and frame if desired. The artist's work is a wonderful world of fantasy fairy depictions. I also plan to use them in my crafts, highlighting my handmade items.I have happily spent hours and hours filling in the pages. Crayons, Color Pencils, Markers and more lend their effects to the finished images, making them uniquely yours.I would so recommend this adult coloring book to anyone who enjoys filling in images of faires and mythical creatures.Enjoy it, I know I am!Oh, and I was not compensated for this review, I am truly that satisfied with this purchase!

I've been using the adult coloring books for a few years now. I liked that the Molly Harrison coloring books seemed to offer more items per page for coloring. The artwork is very nice. Reason for three stars is she uses a lot of wee tiny items to color and the main characters on the pages seem to have a lot of small areas to color. Now that may not be an issue for a lot of people who color but I'm over 50 and the eyesight isn't what it used to be. Even with my magnifying glasses some areas are difficult to color because of the "smallness". I color primarily as a stress release as well as simple enjoyment. It's not very relaxing to color a bunch of wee things that are difficult to see.

I love her work and recent ordered two books not a gray-scale by accident. It is a personal choice but I was disappointed that they were just line drawings. Without the help of Grayscale, the work ended up looking flat and disappointing because I need the help if shading. I am just not that good.lol

Love this book
Love this book. Great for colored pencils, as the paper is a little thin. The drawings are nice, and a lot of fun to color. I've finished a light and soft, sweet one as well as a darker, kind of ominous one. Each page is open to artistic interpretation which helps keep me interested!

(Fairy) special!
I was very happy to find this book of fairies for coloring. It is very hard to find good fairy art, this book and the artist are very good. I found them such a delight that I gave the book as a gift, this is special because I covet fairies.

Lovely Book
Love love love this colouring book. Pages are single sided but are fairly thin, so if using promarkers like myself just pop a piece of A4 card underneath and any bleed will go on to that. Pictures are of the fairy only, no back ground like in some books. I prefer this, colouring the subject only, I don't like lots of back ground mush. I have added a photo of my first colour not quite finished, this is the first page in the book.

Lovely colouring book
Bought as a christmas present for a fairy mad grandaughter, very pretty pictures, however not that many pages and a bit pricey for that reason, overall though more than happy with this buy

Very cool book if you like Fairies
Very cool book if you like Fairies. I loved this book but did not give full marks. The paper is very thin so if you use marker it will ruin other pages. But if u put a blank sheet between them it fixes the problem. A great bargain for the price, would highly recommend.

I love the books
Wonderful pictures. You can make them as whimsical or as dark as you like. I like the simplicity of the art work. Go for it. What can you loose except time spent chilling on an adult colouring book.
