Minnesota: the land of 10,000 breaches of the norm
It seems to have become an honor among American states to have their own books about their oddities. Finally Minnesota has been proven worthy of its own strange record in Ben Welter's Minnesota Mysteries. Taking the exact same approach and structure as Welter's other history book, Minnesota Mayhem, this edition explores a wide range of "unexplained wonders, eccentric characters, preposterous claims, and baffling occurrences" through sections of the book with those subjects. From inexplicable longevity to a mysterious rune stone, this book is open to our interpretation. And you betcha', it's a good read. California must have a dozen books like this. It is about time we recognize Minnesota to be as strange as any other state.

Expensive
Pretty neat little book, but not $28 worth for the hardcover. Absolutely ridiculous how much this book is for being so small

I expected some bigger events than these..........was not interesting to me and they really weren't mysteries. Thin book and used over 30 pages to tell of a promo that was done by the newspaper. Looking for something juicy? This isn't it.
