This grip works perfectly with my Alpha 7Riv. It holds 2 batteries for extended use and works well with aftermarket batteries as well as original ones. There are extra features over the factory grip, including remote control with intervalometer. Very pleased with my purchase this has lived on the camera since I bought it.

Does the job perfectly. My only comment is that the controls don’t feel as sturdy as on the Sony version but as it is considerably cheaper it can’t be a complaint. Works as well as the original. I can recommend without reservation

Fantastic battery grip, as good if not better, and more features than the Sony grip for the A7r iv for a 1/4 of the price. You’d have to be crazy to buy the Sony one.

Ideal for the camera and better battery life for longer duration shoots

I've got this for my A7 IV, it works, but that's about it. Colour and overall finish is far from matching (kind of expected from 1/4 of the genuine price), but that wouldn't be the biggest issue I had. To make it work, you have to turn on power switch on it, well, not a big deal right, the issue is, it drains battery when camera is turned off, battery 1 goes flat in like 24hr time. Another issue is it's very laggy, once it's turned off, and camera, when switching both power knobs back- on camera and on this grip, it takes good 10sec lag before camera recognises it and turns on, something that you don't want on an event where moment could be easily lost while the camera wakes up. And lastly, in just 3 week time, the paint is already fading out on the corners, shows you how well built the item is. If you really need a battery grip, for a heavy lens support, for example, save your money and go for genuine Sony grip, this is just not worth it.

Unreliable makes camera crash, stops video recording mid recording or phantom presses buttons. Very unreliable.

Ich hatte schon den Vorläufer für meine A7 rII gekauft und seit Jahren viel verwendet. Absolut zuverlässig. Das Gehäuse ist vollkommen intakt; die verwendeten Kunststoffe sind hochwertig. Das haptische Gefühl der verschiedenen Knöpfe und Einstellungsräder ist nicht mit der Sony selber vergleichbar; Druckpunkt etwas weniger exakt, einige fühlt sich etwas steifer an, aber es tut der Funktionalität keinen Abbruch. Fernbedienung und Intervalltimer sind dabei; insgesamt spart man im Vergleich zu Sony Originalprodukten mehrere Hundert Euro. Der erste MEKE Batteriegriff hält nunmehr seit 5 Jahren, hat intensiven Gebrauch zuverlässig und schadlos überstanden.

Had no issues with it. For the price it’s very good. You can’t tell the difference between Sony and this!!
