Better than expected
I am in perimenopause and was looking for something to help me stay cool. I remembered about 30 years ago buying a cool bandana in the golf shop that I worked at. It was all the rage and made such a difference when playing sports. I decided to search on Amazon for something similar and found these! This is exactly the same type of product I used thirty years ago. It works! I know some people have complained about not having enough crystals inside, but you just need to evenly distribute them across the bandana before you submerge it in water. My bandana got really fat and stayed cool around my neck for hours. I didn't have one hot flash the whole time I was wearing it. I think I'll order more!

Does the job
Work great. I put them in a bowl of water in the morning, leave them all day then throw in the freezer laying it out length wise. The next morning it's all ready to keep me cool on a blistering hot day. Yes it's frozen straight but it's quite easy to just bend and crack the ice till it goes around your neck.

Works well and the price is right!
I got a pair of these for my wife and I, for canoeing and hiking, and they’re a good deal for the money. The day after they arrived, we used them on a short canoe trip. The temps were in the low 90s with high humidity, and these made all the difference. My only complaint is that the cooling effect only lasted about 30 minutes, and the gel actually seems to hold body heat, so they take a while to “recharge.” I tossed them in a cooler chest with ice, and even after 10 minutes, the gel inside was still warm. We’ve tried various cooling towels (CoolCore, etc.) and they don’t last long either, but they do “recharge” easily. Still, for a couple of bucks, you can’t beat the price on these.Beyond what I mentioned above, I’m convinced most of the negative reviews for these boil down to a combination of user error and poor instructions. I saw a several reviews complain that there aren’t enough of the polymer beads. In reality, the polymer absorbs a LOT of water, so very little goes a long way. And as it starts to expand, you can redistribute it more evenly. The trick is to let them soak for longer than 2-5 minutes the first time. I let them go about 10. They should look like the attached pic.

It won't dry and smells like a wet rag
I absolutely loved this thing when it first arrived. Shocked that the coolness lasted as long as it did. The down side is after a couple of uses it started to stink like the wet rag in a sink. I hand washed it and hanged it to dry 3 days later and it still stinks & it hasn't dried. I can't put it on my head as it will make my hair stink too. I wondered if I could put it in my drier to accelerate the drying process but it says not to and I would be afraid of what it would do to my drier. I even went as far as leaving it in the dashboard of my car so the heat of the car would dry it but that also did not work. It is still damp, cool but stinky. It is really to bad because I loved the low profile of the headband.

Waste of time and money.
I had high hopes for this cooling bandanna, but it was a huge disappointment. It’s nothing more than a very thin piece of fabric folded in half and stitched into a bandanna. It feels cheap and poorly made, and it does almost nothing to actually cool you down. You might get a brief sense of relief when you first put the cool fabric against your head, but that’s gone in seconds. In the hottest weather, it’s basically useless. Save your money and invest in a real cooling product.

Great product, does as described
I got these to help cool me off while at work. I'm so happy with the product that I'm glad I got the 6pk so I could give some to a couple of my coworkers who work a physical job and my sister who gets overheated easily. They love these bands too. We like to wear them as headbands with either the cooling part on our forehead to also keep sweat out of our eyes, or tied on top of our heads with the cooling part at the base of skull/top of neck. My sister wears hers around her heck like a tie. They do keep you cooler and when it stops, you can reactivate by just putting it in cool water again for about a minute or so. It never fully evaporates back to flat. Its been 3 days since last used and it's still "gelly" on the inside but still works. Easily adjustable and tie. Comfortable, made of good quality material (like a bandana). I haven't tried washing it at all yet, but I recommend maybe wiping with a slightly damp cleaning cloth so to not ruin it?

The best neck scarfs!
These are the best! Buy two! They have a lot of beads in them causing them to be full and round when wet. I put mine in a bowl of water in refrigerator over night. We carry a small cooler with a couple frozen water bottles in it. I keep one neck scarf in cooler and exchange as needed. They keep my neck cool when dealing outdoors in heat. As my water bottles thaw, cold water to drink and pour over your scarf. Yes, I’d buy these again.

Can keep you going in the heat of summer.
Great inexpensive way to stay comfortable in the heat. I use them for running, hiking and especially when working outside. They can get dirty, but I just hand wash them afterwards by soaking in water, and washing with gentle soap. I keep them in the fridge in a ziplock so there is always a cold one available. I can easily work outside in high heat when I have one of these around my neck. It's dry here in the summer, so I just dunk it in cold water as needed and continue on. When hiking, I'm always by water, so it's easy to just dunk it in a stream. At the end of summer, I just hang them on a hanger to dry out. Once completely dry, I simply store them until the next season.
